The south of Austria including the region of Styria is warmer and sunnier than the rest of the country in the summer. However, winter is as cold and snowy as in the north of the country. The warmest time of the year is July and August with average maximum temperatures around 24 to 25 degrees centigrade. Ironically the warmest months are also the wettest with around 15 wet days per month on average in May, June and July.
