Further details: Alpbach is a traditional mountain village, recently voted
the prettiest in Europe. The area is ideal for summer holidays with its warm
weather, magnificent flora, wild-life and scenery. There are some 160 kms of
marked footpaths and facilities for mountain barbecues, tennis, indoor and
outdoor swimming, horseriding, and mountain biking.
It's a wonderful place
to experience Tyrolean Austria and if you want to venture beyond the valley,
you have the Tyrolean farm museum at Kramsach, the glass factory in
Rattenberg, and magnificent castles to explore. Winter sports facilities are
also excellent with the main chair lift across the road.
Directions:
Nearest airports: Innsbruck 3/4 hour, Munich 2 hours. Exit the A12
Salzburg/Munich to Innsbruck motorway at Kramsach. Turn towards Brixlegg and
follow signposts to Alpbach, going through the tunnel and a wooded valley.
Do not turn left into Alpbach but continue straight to Inneralpbach ...
Innerhof is on your left ( with flagpoles in the front garden) after the
fire station, just before you cross the stream.
