Description: Chalet Innerhof stands at 1,050 metres above sea level, and has wonderful open views.This typically Tyrolean house consists of three self-contained luxury apartments, with the Mayrhofers (Penny is English) occupying the ground floor and guests the upper floors. Each attractive pine-paneled bedroom has its own bath/shower room and each floor has a spacious sitting room and kitchen. The 4 bedroomed apartment has an open fire place. The apartments can be rented together accommodating 14 comfortably. Bed and breakfast, as well as half board is also available, prices on request.

Further details: Alpbach is a traditional mountain village, recently voted the prettiest in Europe. The area is ideal for summer holidays with its warm weather, magnificent flora, wild-life and scenery. There are some 160 kms of marked footpaths and facilities for mountain barbecues, tennis, indoor and outdoor swimming, horseriding, and mountain biking.

It's a wonderful place to experience Tyrolean Austria and if you want to venture beyond the valley, you have the Tyrolean farm museum at Kramsach, the glass factory in Rattenberg, and magnificent castles to explore. Winter sports facilities are also excellent with the main chair lift across the road.

Directions: Nearest airports: Innsbruck 3/4 hour, Munich 2 hours. Exit the A12 Salzburg/Munich to Innsbruck motorway at Kramsach. Turn towards Brixlegg and follow signposts to Alpbach, going through the tunnel and a wooded valley. Do not turn left into Alpbach but continue straight to Inneralpbach ... Innerhof is on your left ( with flagpoles in the front garden) after the fire station, just before you cross the stream.

A wonderful chalet

We have had a great time in this chalet. The location is beautiful. The most important thing was of course the owners. They were very friendly and welcoming (You can walk in to their house at any time with questions). All their tips bout locations to go to were excellent and it actually made our trip. The place is very clean well equipped and gives you a feeling of home. We would do our best to return there.

Just got back from a wonderful Whitsun break at Innerhof. A beautiful chalet which was home to 14 of us for the week. Furnished to a high standard with beautiful views from all balconies, it was a dream location.

Penny, our host, was very helpful and we enjoyed both good communication whilst planning our trip as well as uobtrusive but helpful assistance whilst there.

Despite visiting between summer and winter seasons, there was plenty to do with good local restaurants and bars. Despite not all of the local cable cars not being open, we found plenty to do both in the immediate surrounding area and farther afield. Innsbruck is a simple 40 minute drive away and for the more adventurous, the Dolomites, Grossglockner and the Bavarian grand castles can be done in day trips.

Basically we had a wondeful week in beautiful surroundings in a well appointed luxurious chalet.... would certainly recommend.
