Flachau Apartment for Skiing

Stayed with my family (wife, daughter, grandaughter (7 yrs old) and a family friend) for a week in Feb 08. The apartment exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our holiday. It was roomy, well equipped and the views were truly spectacular - if anything the description by the owners understated just how good it was. The customer service both with the booking and while in Flachau was excellent. The ski lifts were within easy walking distance as was the upper end of the town. Prices were very reasonable in the restaurants and a Spar was handily nearby. Two of the party were not skiers but they found plenty to do - walking, sightseeing and a visit to Salzburg amply filled their time, with, of course, the odd 'kaffee und kuchen'.
First time I have skied the area and it was great. Pistes were long and wide. Overall I can thoroughly recommend both the apartment and area and aim to repeat the holiday next year.
