Austrian ski apartment, located in hotel complex - great mountain location

Gosau in the heart of the Dachstein mountains is the ideal location for activity holidays. Whether it's walking in the mountains, cycling on the many miles of cycle track or water sports on the nearby lakes of the Salzkammergut, this region has it all. In winter there is excellent skiing, Gosau is the centre of the Dachstein-West ski region with 140 km of piste served by 45 modern lifts. Gosau is just one hour from Salzburg which is served by daily Ryanair flights. Flyeurope and Thomsonfly have regular weekly flights throughout the year. For the less energetic Gosau offers a haven away from hectic everyday life, where you can enjoy the spectacular scenery and breath the fresh mountain air. Our self catering apartment benefits from direct access to all the facilities of the 4 star Sporthotel Gosau. These include indoor pool, sauna,vital centre and indoor tennis. The hotel has an excellent restaurant and bar and there are numerous places to eat in the local hotels and bars.

Gosau is in the centre of a fascinating region, with places to visit all year round. Local buses run regularly to Hallstatt, a Unesco World Heritage village and the lake of Hallstattsee. In Summer a regular ferry service runs around the lake. The nearby spa town of Bad Ischl, which was once the summer retreat of the Austrian royal family, is a popular tourist destination. The Kurhaus in Bad Ischl has regular concerts in the Summer and for those with a 'sweet tooth' a visit to Zauner's Konditorei (cake shop) is a must! One hour's drive away is the city of Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart and home each summer to the Salzburg Festival. Vienna, Graz and Southern Bavaria are all within a few hours drive. The popular lakes regions of St Wolfgang and Mondsee are all within one hour's drive.

End cleaning is charged at 41 euros. Charges for bed linen, towels and end cleaning are paid to the Hotel Gosau reception at the end of your stay.
    A tourist tax of E1.31 per person per day will be charged locally.
    Meal packages can be booked directly with the adjacent Hotel Gosau.

Skiing Information:

The village of Gosau is in the Dachstein-West ski area. It is ideal for intermediates and beginners. There are over 140 km piste serviced by 45 modern ski lifts. This region is rated among the ten largest ski resorts in Austria. Regular free ski buses link to all the main ski resorts in the area and stop at the adjacent Hotel Gosau. Just a quick mail - we have just returned from a stay at your apartment in Gosau and would just like to say thank you very much we had a lovely holiday, the apartment was ideal and in a lovely location. My children aged 8 & 5 had never skied before but thanks to the Sumsiland children's Ski area took to it straight away and can't wait to go again!!!!
We will certainly recommend your apartment to family and friends. Â Â
