Centrally located self catering accommodation in two 14th/18th century adjacent buildings in Bruges. For rent per week, midweek or weekend. The apartments are very comfortable and spacious : 1 to 4 bedrooms, 1 or 2 bathrooms. All apartments are situated around a pretty central patio and courtyard with terraces and a small outdoor swimming pool. ‘De Drie Koningen' is therefore an excellent place for singles and families (up to 8 guests) who want to explore our city’s past and architecture, classified by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

'St Jacob' is our apartment on the second floor. It's located on the atic-floor where the 600 years old roof construction and the 7 meters high ceiling of the living room, gives the necessary charme. An apartment for those who want to be spoiled. 'St Jan' on is our ground floor apartment with four bedrooms on the first floor. It has a direct access to the garden and the pool. You can use the inner court and terrace. Ideal for families with children or elderly visitors.

The cultural/historic patrimony of Bruges gives the city a European and international dimension. The Bruges monuments, museums and particularly the unspoiled historic cityscape attracts a lot of visitors every year. As a result Bruges received the symbolic title of European Capital of Culture in 2002. 'De Drie Koningen' is only 2 minutes away from the central place 'Grote Markt', the townhall and hundreds of places of interest. Shopping area is nearby. The beach is only at 12 Km. Therefore 'De Drie Koningen' is a perfect place to start your walking or biking tours throughout the city and the region. A bike ride to Damme and Holland along the canal is one of our favourites. Travelling by train in Belgium is very comfortable. So we can highly recommend also a day trip by train to the beach, Gent, Antwerp or Brussels.

Area: Although you can spent several days in Bruges, its also well located for visiting other famous historical cities in Flanders : Ghent (45 km), Antwerp (105 km) and Brussels (95 km). These cities are within 1 hour travelling distance by train or by car. Also the beach and some fine near-by cities like Ostend (Oostende), Ypres (Ieper), Damme and Knokke are worth-wile visiting. As neighbours we are looking forward to meet you.

We came for a mid week stay in the last week of August 09 and have to say that we were blown away by how good the accomadation was. The location could not have been improved upon being a 4 min walk from the main square and a 3 min walk fron the cannals. The whole set up here is excellent from the tie up with a local bakery to having 100's of bang upto date DVD's and a very resonable honesty bar for drinks and milk etc. The unit we stayed in has been superb, well appointed, very clean and clearly well run.
To be honest the listing description did not do the place justice. If you come you will be impressed.
The one small issue is to do with the stairs upto the bedrooms. My mother in law is a bit wobbley on her legs and the stairs are a bit steeper and narrower than standard stairs. A few extra hand rails would be useful.
But all in all one of the very best places we have ever stayed in.......

We have been staying in several of the apartments over the last few years. They are comfortable and very clean. Everything works perfectly. Nico and Ann, the owners take extreme care of each of their apartments.

They also have a little shop, where you can get wine, beer, order your bread for breakfast, pick up DVD's, etc... Being totally in the city center is a huge PLUS. But, if you travel by car, they also have several inside parking spaces!

And, their medieval party/meeting cellar is just unbelievable: a master restoration!

For 55+, I would recommend the ground floor apartments!
