Duplex apartment on the third floor of an old 1913 townhouse, renovated in 2004. The house has been declared part of the national heritage of Belgium for its Art Nouveau features. The apartment is very sunny & charming with a very cozy decoration. Vilvoorde is a nice-size city out of Brussels with direct train connections to Brussels (10 min ride) or Antwerp (25-minute ride), and bus connection to the airport (10 mins). The house is only a five-minute walk through a lovely park to the train/bus station. On the first floor of the duplex, a living room with 2 sofa beds & a TV is situated next to the dining room with antique dining table. On the same floor stands a new fully-equipped kitchen with microwave oven, dishwasher, oven, & refrigerator. An inside staircase leads to one double and one single bedroom. The bathroom with a bath and toilet is on the same floor. Number of bedrooms is two; maximum sleeps is five. Number of bathrooms is one.

We stayed in Alexandra's smaller apartment, one floor below the one described in this advert. It was ideal for our purposes: I was having surgery at the nearby hospital and 2 friends (one a nurse) accompanied me to keep me company and do the driving back home to the UK.

The apartment is comfortably furnished, warm, and very clean. The kitchen is very well equipped. Alexandra was very helpful, and we found it very useful to have WiFi access. The location is excellent for travelling by public transport, and it's very useful to be able to park directly outside the house.

I would definately stay there again.

Stayed at the Arpeggio Brussels because i was going to there near by hospital. I was so glad because it was so spacious with all amenities . It was so much better than a hotel room especially when you come out of hospital and you have to stay in . My husband and daughter and I had so much space .It was very clean and Alexander was lovely .This was so much better than going back to a hotel room and looking at the four walls .My husband and daughter visited Brussels the day I was in hospital they said it was lovely they left the car and got the train it was only 15 mins away.Cathy from Liverpool

Brussels Visit

The location was ideal for going into Brussels and visiting elsewhere. The house was not to the best standards with dangerous cracked bathroom floor tiles and the covertible beds and sofas were not very comfortable and past their usable life. It was a shame that there were a few things that let this apartment down because if it was finished off properly it could have been really nice.
Owner's Response: The bathroom tiles have been broken during one of our guest's stay, sadly due to success we could not have it solved as fast as we would have liked to in between the bookings and the workman's shedule. Today the floor has been covered with a linoleum that solves the problem and is also very nice.
The sofa's are 4 years old. We have them cleaned after the season as one is white and that has not been the wisest choice at the time. These are sofa beds and we will not claim that they are as comfy as beds.

07/22/06 Positive Our family of five had a wonderful stay at Arpeggio at the beginning of July. The apartment was beautiful and perfect for our needs. Alexandra is a very gracious and helpful host, and the location was great for local restaurants and shopping, as well as catching the train to central Brussels. The grocery and coffee shop nearby were very convenient. Edward Buteyn, Denver, Colorado.

07/20/06 Positive We had a lovely stay here. Vilvoorde is a beautiful place and the apartment is very roomy and comfortable. It is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Alexandra is lovely and very helpful. I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the Brussels area. Vicky, Sheffield UK.

03/15/06 Positive We spent a very pleasant time at Arpeggio. It was very comfortable. The apartment is perfectly equipped - nice and warm during winter - close to shops, restaurants and the station. You just need to hop on a train.
