This centrally located, charming, self catering accommodation in Antwerp is comfortable and spacious. The 19th century corner house has retained many of its original features which include beautiful, high ceilings and the apartment is located on the ground floor of this building. It comprises a bathroom (with a shower, and toilet), 2 bedrooms, kitchen, spacious living room and dining rooms and a city-garden. The area around the apartment is THE place tourists want to be when they come and visit Antwerp as it is in the middle of artistic residential area. Nearby there are all kinds of little shops, cafés and restaurants. You can see the new Palace of Justice as soon as you step outside, and the Museum of Fine Arts is at 100m. The house is 500m from the old port of Antwerp. All other sights and the train station are only a tram ride away. This makes Antwerp an easy base to see other cities in the region including Bruges, Ghent and Brussels. We look forward to having you to stay!

arrival details : On departing day please leave before 10.30am, o'clock. This timing is negotiable depending on occupancy of the apartment. note: you need 2 hour drive to Antwerp if you come by car from Calais. and 1h15' from Ostend, all highway. The transfer from Brussels airport (65km distance): every hour by special bus to Antwerp central station(10€pp). Or we can order a taxi for you to our apartment at 50€; The transfer from Deurne airport (at 9km distance): best transport with taxi costs you appr. 15€. The transfer with TGV = arriving in Berchem station (at 5km distance): best transport with taxi or tram/metro/bus.

parking space and long time renters : during weekdays from 10pm till 9am free parking space in front of the house. from Saturday 9pm till Monday 9am free parking space in front of the house. at 200m distance = free parking space all day.

Very nice place to be

My husband and I spent a week in Antwerpen, hoping to get some quiet time (we live in Amsterdam) and we were so pleased with the apartment and the city, we wish we were still there. The flat is spacious and very comfy. The location is incredible with lots of cafés and places to spend the afternoon around. The owners are helpful and can give you some recommendations of attractions to visit.

This city is very laid back and the people living there are very nice. We would recommend this flat to anyone wishing to visit Antwerpen.

Unique apartment in perfect location

I spent a month in this apartment in Winter, 2009. The pictures and description give a very accurate sense of the property.
After seeing a great deal of most areas in Antwerp, I can't imagine a better location. For visitors with a car, there is parking. For others, there is a nearby tram stop. Visitors who like to cook will find an excellent supermarket close, along with many interesting specialty food shops, all within easy walking distance. Those who don't want to cook will find a wonderful choices of cafe, bistros and restaurants in the immediate neighborhood, including many of the most noted in Antwerp.
The apartment is located on a wide, beautiful street which is lightly trafficked, so visitors have the benefit of open vistas without traffic noise and distraction.
The neighborhood itself is dynamic and interesting, with a lively cafe scene, art galleries and design studios.
The apartment owner lives onsite and couldn't have been more hospitable and helpful, far beyond the normal call of duty. I rent apartments 3-4 times a year in Europe and have never been more graciously treated.

Lovely apartment in a wonderful environment

I spent a week in this apartment in the southern part of the city center, probably the most beautiful, elegant, safe and charming quarter of Antwerp.

It is located exactly into the heart of a district full of museum, lively restaurants and bars, trendy fashion showrooms... the historical part of the city can be easily reached by walking; a rich supermarket is very close; lots of parking in the neighborhood; direct access to the highway... it really is the perfect place to be in Antwerp!

I suggest this apartment to those who look for an original accomodation in a 19th century building, with a romantic atmosphere, but providing every need (e.g. wi-fi Internet connection).
A necessary mention must be done to the lovely, and wonderfully caring, owner of the property.
