'De Hoedenmaker' is an exceptional rental holiday home, perhaps the premier unit in all of medieval Bruges. The facade is built in the traditional step-gable style that is typical of the finest Renaissance homes there. The house is newly renovated inside and out, and most furnishings are new. The kitchen includes a full complement of cooking utensils and cutlery. The house faces south and takes in plenty of sun year round. New: small, private roof-top sun terrace.

About Bruges:

The town of Bruges has been called 'the most perfectly preserved medieval city in Europe'. It has an ideal mix of ancient buildings, canals, museums, cobblestone streets, and charming little squares, all within a comfortable and human-scale city. A 'House Book' in the house contains much information on local shops, restaurants, history, and sights.

Cancellation:

Refund of deposit, less 10% of rental fee, for cancellation more than 30 days prior to rental. Forfeit of deposit if cancelled 15-30 days prior. Full rent due if less than 15 days prior.

Lovely house! The description was accurate to the last word and the owner and her agent a joy to deal with. Everything went just as planned. The house is perfect for holidaying families, with comfortable good facilities. Location is great - central enough to walk everywhere but out of the bustle of the touristy town centre. The owner has put together a great 'guidebook' to Bruges and we tried several of the recommended restaurants, which were all of a good standard.

We had a great time!
