Probably the best location for exploring Brugge

We stayed at this fantastic house for the 3rd time in November 2008 and we absolutely love it. The best thing by far about the house is the location. You are literally 3 minutes walk from the centre and the house is in a nice quiet street away from the main roads. There are some great shops - local butchers, bakers and grocers - just 2 minutes away (across The Astrid Park). The canal boats are 3 minutes walk away and the nearest pub is less then that. I honestly don't think you will find anything cheaper than this in such a good location. The house is divided over 3 floors, with the sitting room/kitchen on the ground floor, 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor and a further bedroom on the 2nd floor. It comfortably sleeps 6. The property is always clean and the kitchen and bathroom are adequately equipped to get you ready for the day. Eric is always there to meet and greet you and gets your holiday started with a nice box of Belgian Chocolates!! I have recommended this property to all of my friends and family and we will continue to go back there every year i think (once you go to Brugge you will understand why). The place is beautiful - cobbled streets, really nice traditional pubs, chocolate shops everywhere (our favourite is Van'Oost on Wallestraat i think), canals, the cathedral...the list is endless. I would recommend a restaurant just off the main square called the Hu'zar - it does fantastic local dishes (the lamb stew is superb) and is always packed full of locals. The beer list in Dickies is really good and they do a mean mixed grill cooked by the owner on his BBQ. If you want any tips for Brugge, just let me know.
