Our first visit to Bulgaria

My daughter (aged 12) and i have recently returned from our weeks holiday in Bulgaira. It was our first visit there so we were excited to see what it was like, having had different reports about the place.
On arrival to the complex we were impressed by the cleanliness of the place and the helpfulness of the staff at reception.
The apartment couldnt have been better!! top floor with a large balcony. The views were wonderful, looking out over the sea and down on to the complex. Inside it was beautifully furnished, very clean and well maintained and very well equipped. Air conditioning, tv, dvd, information books, maps, it was great. Everything we needed for our stay.
The comlex itself was large but very well maintained and clean. It was well spaced out, with a number of lovely pools to relax around.
The beach was a very short walk away but again lovely, however, it did get quite crowded. The sea was amazing, and so warm. Great for kids as it is a gentle slope and shallow.
Entertainment in the evening was limited i have to say but only a short bus/taxi ride away and you are in the town of Sveti Vlas where there is more going on. If you want the club side of things then you will need to go to Sunny beach, again a short bus/taxi ride away. The fact that we didnt want that made Sveti Vlas great. Lovely for families and couples who want a more relaxing holiday. Plenty of nice restaurants, all at very reasonable prices.
Money goes far in Bulgaria, i took £500 for two of us and brought £200 back, and we wanted for nothing. If we had taken advantage of more of the excursions available we would have spent more. But still all very reasonable.
I felt very safe being a woman on my own with a 12 year old girl, that is very important .
To sum up.....you must visit.....beautiful weather, beautiful sea, beautiful apartment, a lovely family holiday.
