This is a brand new, spacious, well-equipped apartment in Bansko, in 'The Balkans' development. Bansko is the best skiing resort in Bulgaria. There is a 400 metre walk to the Gondola for access to the slopes. Within easy walking distance of the beautiful medieval town where you will find numerous traditional Bulgarian restaurants.

Bansko is situated at the foot of the majestic Pirin Mountains, 160km south of Sofia at an altitude of 950m. The snow-capped peaks of Pirin dominate this town, which has a population of some 12,000 inhabitants. Bansko is the newest ski resort and the most rapidly developing. This fashionable and exciting ski resort is an interesting combination between the virgin nature of the Pirin Mountains and the atmosphere of the small, ancient Bulgarian town The skiing conditions are excellent. The Pirin Mountains have an Alpine character with three peaks towering above 2900m. The slopes offer runs and tracks for all types of skiers from novices to experts and thrill-seekers and, of course snow-boarders. Surrounded by Rila, Rhodopes as well as the Pirin mountains, Bansko is a climatic resort with a short summer and a long winter. The average temperature in January, the coldest month, is -2°C. | Notes: | The property is ideally located for access to the gondola station. Skiing is well suited to beginners and intermediates with quiet open pistes. For the more active, the newly constructed ski park gives skiers and boarders alike the opportunity to enjoy the more extreme side of the sport. There are 65 kilometres of marked pistes with 44 Technoalpine snow cannons covering most of the slopes. There are good facilities for learners and junior skiers with international ski schools and instructors available either for group or individual lessons. |
