Georgian Bay rental cottage just minutes north of Owen Sound is perfect for relaxation, entertainment and enjoyment. This solid pine, air-conditioned, fully furnished and equipped year-round 2400 sq. ft. home with 140' frontage is ideal for family get-together and retreats.

The waterfront cottage is ideal for 10 guests and accommodates up to 16 guests (children on mattresses in rec room) with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and luxurious surroundings.

Features: 2 floor-to-ceiling stone fireplaces; 22' vaulted pine ceiling with 2-storey view of Georgian Bay; 2 wooden decks with furniture; master bedroom with wood stove; lower bath with whirlpool tub.

Greystone Retreat is located approximately 15 minutes north of Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada on 148' of Georgian Bay shoreline. This private, one-acre property boasts many amenities: huge fire pit on the shoreline, lovely gardens, rolling lawn, in-ground lighting and watering, canoe for guest use, large decks with gorgeous view of the sunrise over the water. Also, there is 430 acres of adjacent private property where guests may hike on 13km of groomed trails (with rest areas). A private spa is also located on an adjacent property.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Note: Our rental prices are based on four persons for the time frame indicated. Additional persons are separate ($125pp/wk high season; $95pp/wk mid; $85pp/wk low). Children 2 and under are no charge.

    Rates for 4 persons:
    High season (mid-June through mid-Sept; Christmas; New Years): $2450/week
    Mid season: (mid-Apr to mid-June; mid-Sept to mid-Oct; Thanksgivings): $1650/week
    Low season: (mid-Oct to mid-Apr exluding Thanksgivings, Christmas, New Years) $1125/week

    We require a refundable $500 security/damage/booking deposit per week to hold your rental time frame. This deposit is returned following inspection after departure (less any damage if applicable). Credit cards are accepted for deposit. 1/3 total payment is due at 90 days prior to rental; balance at 60 days. We do not accept credit cards for rental payment. We do accept personal/business cheque, money order, bank draft or email transfers. We provide a written quote for all clients; all details are on our main site.

  • Maximum 10 adult guests -- we can accommodate up to 16 if there are children use the pull-out sofas All 5 bedrooms are large with queen size beds; all linens and blankets are included. There is a double pull-out couch in the great room and 3 double pull-out couches in the recreation room. This is an ideal home for a small family reunion. If you have young children, we have mattress pads available to use with sleeping bags in the rec room as well.

Notes: We welcome children to our home ... they will love the recreation room with a TV/VCR combination, fireplace and almost soundproof area. A toy closet and wash room are adjacent and there is direct access to the lower deck and manicured lawns on the water side. The home is fine for elderly with access to wash room, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living area and large deck over looking the water. Although there are two other levels, there is plenty of room on the main floor and access to most family activities. There are 3 steps up to the front entry door; the driveway has a gentle slope to the front lawn. Although we have had guests in wheelchairs, they would need help getting in the front door and would need a narrower-than-normal chair. We do consider small, quiet dogs which must be on a leash when outdoors (local by law conformation).

The cottage was not lacking anything! Beautiful scenery, lovely home, very well equipped. The next time up we won't pack as much.

Family Reunion

Our whole family got together for an extended family gathering last September. This property has everything needed to make a large gathering possible. We really enjoyed the grounds and the trails. They are beautifully maintained! The grandchildren throughly enjoyed exploring the area.
