Puerto del Carmen holiday apartment

We stayed at San Fermin in September 08. On arrival the apartment was impeccable and my partner and I found it extremely comfortable. It caters well for guests and has a very good standard in living facilities. A fan in the bedroom would be a great idea though, as it was so hot at nights when we were there. Then again, Aug to Oct are the hottest months and nights throughout the rest of the year are fine. I was slightly disappointed that there was no oven and the washing machine wasn't working, but hey-ho who goes on holiday to slave over a stove and wash clothes. San Fermin is a very, very peaceful complex. The pool is lovely, quite big, and very peaceful so you have plently opportunities to have a good swim virtually at any time during the day. I could float for hours reading on my inflatable lounger with no distraction. The location is fantastic. It is really near the promenade at the new town area for all the small shops and tons of restaurants. I love to walk along the beach and it is 5 mins away from my favourite beach in Puerto del Carmen, Los Pocillos beach. It gives you a lovely walk round to the Matagorda area where there are great restaurants and you can even continue and walk way round to the airport. I hired a car and there was always spaces to park outside San Fermin apartments. It is fantastically located for jumping in the car and getting out of the town very quickly to explore the island. The local council have recently made many of the back streets in PDC one-way which at first was quite confusing but you get used to it. All in all, fantastic and peaceful place to stay, and very good value for money.
