VILLA OCASO offers the visitor everything necessary for a tranquil and enjoyable holiday. Playa Blanca is host to three of the finest beaches in Lanzarote, Playa Flamingo, Playa Dorada and in the Village Centre, the White Sanded Beach -' Playa Blanca'. Playa Flamingo Beach is just a short walking distance (600m) from Villa Ocaso, and a further 15 minute walk past the harbour( where ferries leave hourly to the near by island of Fuerteventura ) brings you to the picturesque, old village of Playa Blanca, where you will find a wealth of fine restaurants and shops along the sea front & side streets. The beaches of Papagayo, considered to be the best beaches in the Canary Islands, are only a 10 minute drive from the Villa. Cars are not a necessity for an enjoyable stay at Villa Ocaso, however we do recommend you hire one, if you wish to experience the many unique & beautiful sights of Lanzarote. Additional information about rental rates

  • RENTAL RATES ARE BASED ON AN OCCUPANCY OF 4 PERSONS. A further charge of £85 per person per week will apply for each additional person ( up to a maximum of 9 persons). Children under the age of 2 stay as guests of Ocaso. Bookings are normally from Thursday Arrival to Thursday Departure, but days can be flexible subject to availability - PLEASE ASK. The pool is solar heated all year round and is included in the prices shown. During the summer months, the water temperature will be comfortable for swimming, however during what can be the cooler months, winter & early spring, we would recommend the electric heating system is switched on, to guarantee a 27/28C pool temperature at all times, this service, if required, is available at an additional cost of £50.00 per week, and can be switched on at any time during the year.
    A booking Condition is that you forward by fax, email or post, a copy of your Holiday Insurance. A deposit of £200 per week is payable on confirmation of your booking.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Discounts are available for last minute bookings, if your departure date is within 2 weeks and we have availability - PLEASE CALL. Rates can be subject to change - existing bookings will be honoured at the pre-increase price.

    DISCOUNT FLIGHTS are available from all UK airports ~ please call. CAR HIRE is available at an 'Ocaso' preferential rate ( inclusive of all taxes & insurances ). We pre-book the car of your choice for collection from the airport, you then pay the full amount due ( in euros or by credit card ) at the airport on your arrival date ~ Please Call.
  • As in many areas of Lanzarote, including Playa Blanca, Montana Roja is a new and developing area and there may be signs of building activity in the vicinity of the property. However the southerly aspect of Ocaso which you will be enjoying mostly during your stay ( i.e Pool, Sun Terraces, Dining Terrace, Lounge, Garden and Panoramic Sea Views ) has been completed for some 2 years. You are welcome to contact us if you require any further clarification.

Notes: We would respectfully request that guests do not smoke inside the Villa ( ashtrays are provided for all outdoor areas ). Towels are changed twice weekly and Bed Linen changed weekly.A Mothercare Cot, High Chair and Maclaren travel buggy are provided by 'Ocaso', at no extra cost. Cot Linen is not provided,(in case of allergies). Beach Towels are not provided ( But can be hired on request). The Villa & Terraces are thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival and the Swimming Pool is professionally maintained and cleaned twice weekly. The design of the Villa gives full Wheelchair Accessibility through-out, inclusive of the pool terraces and lower garden areas. A welcome pack comprising of Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Bottled Water, Dish Clothes & Washing up liquid is provided with Ocaso's compliments.

Lanzarote: The most easterly of the Canary islands, formerly named the 'Fortune Islands', Lanzarote basks in almost constant sunshine all year round, and is very distinct from its sister islands, both in landscape and climate. Lanzarote was recently named by the World Health Organisation as being the 2nd healthiest place to live in the world. Due to the tireless work of the local artist Cesar Manrique, the island maintains a unique blend of architecture and ecology, resulting in a totally unspoilt,traditional feel. Famous for it's amazing volcanic landscape and superb beaches, the island has a unique character all of it's own. There are many places of interest and sites to see - 'Jameos Del Agua'one of the islands many natural phenomena's, a volcanic tube caused by an ancient volcanic eruption creating an under ground lake. 'Timanfaya National Park '( The Fire Mountains ), words are inadequate and would spoil this experience.This visit is simply a must.

Car Hire: Cars can be pre-booked and collected from the Airport on your arrival or can be arranged for local collection within Playa Blanca.( Example - 5 seater Opel Corsa approx 135 euros all in per week ) . Like any where in the world, there are good & bad car hire companies. We recommend Cicar or Cabrera Medina, both companies are based at Arrecife Airport and have offices throughout Lanzarote, including several within Playa Blanca.

Playa Blanca ~ Eating & Entertainmnet: Playa Blanca mainly caters for families, couples and the more mature visitor.The village is host to a wealth of cosmopolitan restaurants, most of which serve fresh local fish / seafood and a wide selection of 'Canarian' specialties. The main wine making/ growing area of 'La Geria', is nearby, hence most restaurants offer a wide selection of local, quality, reasonably priced wines to suit all palates as well as many international wines. The Village Nightlife is generally low key and is mainly focused on those wishing to eat, drink and relax. However there is a handful of music bars that open late, the nearest from Villa Ocaso being 1 kilometre away( The Irish Anvil ~ Recommended ). These bars are safe and are well managed, and are ideal for the older teenagers in your party ( or yourselves ) to escape to for an hour or so. For those of you that want a more hectic night, Puerto del Carmen is only a Car/Taxi ride away ( 28 kilometres ).

Beautiful Villa Ocaso

Just a quick note to say thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful villa. A fabulous time was had by all. The weather could not have been better. A wonderful location so handy for beach, shops, restaurants, etc. Could not fault anything . Look forward to booking again in the not too distant future.

Villa Ocaso Lanzarote, Playa Blanca

We stayed at the villa for 6 nights with our 2 sons aged 18months and 7. I chose the villa because it had a gated and heated pool for our toddler. The villa is in a good location approx 10 min pleasant walk to beach and the lovely promenade walkway which goes right along the coast and has gorgeous views. The terrace in the villa also has lovely views which I was pleasantly surprised about as you don't get a sense of it from the website. The villa itself is nice if a little dated. It was clean and tidy as was the pool. The kitchen equipment could be doing with being updated as could some of the outside furniture and a bit of decoration wouldn't go amiss, but it was good value for money with plenty of space if more than one family was sharing. Paying extra to heat the pool was definitely a good idea and we used the pool every day. The area is lovely. We are South of France fans and go every year so I was a bit worried about Lanzarote and the area being tacky but the thought of heat in january won. There are plenty of things to do on the island and the volcanic landscape is gorgeous, no greenery but all reddish rock,reminded me of Arizona. There were plenty of good restaurants to choose from which although a bit samey all served good fresh fish which you can see being caught and gutted on the rocks on the main restaurant area at Marina rubicon, the fried baby squid being a highlight. There are plenty shops with holiday tat to amuse the kids but without making you think you are in Benidorm -no offense if you're fond of Benidorm! The stunning views, great food, warm pleasant weather and nice little beaches as well as the villa made it a great winter break and we will definitely return.

What a fantastic villa.

What a fantastic villa, simply the best. Extremely well equipped and spotless, everything as described on your web site. A gorgeous sun soaked oasis and in easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants and shops The children enjoyed the excellent warm swimming pool and it was reassuring to know that the toddlers were safe behind the gated terrace and in the shade. We found the lower terrace, gardens and BBQ areas to be an added bonus to what was already a spectacular beautiful villa.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and hope that we would be welcome on another visit next year.

Beautiful Holiday Home

Just a quick note to say we had a wonderful holiday. The villa was everything we could have wanted, super location yet close to amenities. The children were never out of the heated swimming pool. We will certainly let our friends and family know about your beautiful holiday home.
