Casa Alessi is a charming, detached villa with a private solar heated swimming pool and secluded garden with a south facing patio looking out towards Fuerteventura. It is situated in Las Coloradas which is regarded as the most exclusive area of Playa Blanca, about two miles from the centre of the village. Playa Blanca is known as the 'jewel in the crown' of Lanzarote, with its beautiful promenade, cafes and excellent sandy beaches. The recently opened Rubicon yacht marina is within easy walking distance and has a good selection of shops, open air restaurants and bars

The villa is situated within a 10-15 minute walk from the famous Papagayo Beaches, across the Papagayo National Park and a 5 minute car journey to the centre of Playa Blanca. From the beach in Las Coloradas the promenade stretches all the way to the marina and the fishing and ferry harbour in Playa Blanca. It takes approximately 25 minutes to walk to the Rubicon marina, where appropriate refreshments can be obtained and a further 20 minutes to complete the journey into the village.

Las Coloradas has two good restaurants within five minutes walk and supermarkets are locally available. Internet facilities are widely available in Playa Blanca as most hotels have facilities for the general public to use as well as their guests. Cots and high chairs can be supplied at a small extra cost. We recommend you hire a car and there are guide books and maps available in the villa, we can help with car hire if required. Should you not wish to hire a car, taxis are available from the airport or we can arrange transport by a British driver. There is now a new bus service between Las Coloradas into Playa Blanca and beyond to Faro Park and the lighthouse - 15 minutes into Playa Blanca.

The satellite TV system receives a large selection of English speaking channels including Sky News, movie channels, childrens cartoons and BBC 2 and 4. There are a selection of DVDs and CDs in the villa or you can hire your own in Playa Blanca (you will need to take your passport with you). There are also a large selection of novels for your holiday reading.

Stayed here mid October 2009. Lovely villa, with good use of space, inside and outside. Has everything you could need for your holiday. Pool is great to relax and chill in the sun. Perfect getaway for families or couples. Help available on hand nearby if there are any problems.

15 minute walk to Marina Rubicon, or a 5 minute drive into Playa Blanca. Lots of places to eat in Playa Blanca, especially Mama Rosa's and Sideria Arena both on the sea front near the Ferry Port where the service and quantity of food was very good.

Supermarket (Netto) nearby that has fresh bread rolls daily (still warm if you time it right - about 10.00)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back in the future. We'd recomend it to anyone.
