Casa de Fortuna is a new luxury 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa in Faro Park, Playa Blanca. It was completed in the Spring of 2004 and is situated very close to the coast. There is a car parking space to the side of the property. It is ideal for families who are looking for a really relaxing holiday and offers the tranquility that is not readily found in the built-up established tourist resorts such as Puerto del Carmen and and Costa Teguise. Fully furnished and equipped to a very high standard, the interior of the villa offers classic Spanish architecture with its combination of granite and marble tiling throughout, providing stunning results and a cool airy feeling. The villa is fitted with charming shutters with integral mosquito nets that guarantee a peaceful night's sleep! The heated pool is set in a large sun terrace with four luxurious sun loungers. There is a shaded dining area and another teak table and chairs overlooking the swimming pool and beautiful garden.

Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on Lanzarote and has many advantages for those who are looking for sun, sea and sand as well as good fish restaurants that generally host the catch of the day. From Playa Blanca's seafront you can see across to Fuerteventura, which is a mere 11km by ferry. Ferries cross to the island several times a day from the main harbour. The front is populated with a variety of beaches, notably Playa Dorada, Papagayo (reckoned to be one of the best on the island) and Playa Flamingo. Playa Blanca has a relaxed atmosphere compared to the more upbeat nightlife in Puerto del Carmen. Restaurants on the front feature a wonderful sea view - perfect for couples and families. The rugged coastline is only a 2 minute walk away from the villa and a 2 minute walk the other way leads you to a small parade of shops with 2 supermarkets, a Chinese, a small bar and 2 patisserie/bakeries. Two top class golf courses are due to be built in Puerto Calero and P.Blanca.

  • The above prices are for 2 people sharing per week.
  • Additional persons, up to a maximum of 5, are charged at an additional £50 per person per week. The 5th person will only be charged an extra £30 for use of a high quality 'Z'-bed.
    There is no charge for children under the age of 5.
    Discounts will be considered for long Winter lets.
  • There is a booking deposit of 40%, which is non-refundable in the case of cancellation. If there are 8 weeks or less to the start of the holiday, payment must be made in full, plus a £100 damage liability bond which is refundable upon your return. If there are more than 8 weeks to the start of the holiday, payment of the 40% deposit must be made. The balance of the payment plus the £100 damage liability bond must then be paid no later than 8 weeks from the start of the holiday.

  • The en-suite bathroom to the main bedroom has a bath, shower, basin and toilet. The basin is set in solid marble and there is plenty of space to lay out all your toiletries, make-up, etc. The second bathroom has a large walk-in shower, basin and toilet and, again, the basin is set in solid marble with plenty of space. There is a safe in the second bathroom which is big enough to store your passports, travellers cheques, money, jewellery and any other valuable items.

Notes: The villa is fitted with charming shutters with integral mosquito nets that guarantee a peaceful night's sleep! There are only a few villas in Faro Park with this excellent addition to the facilities. The lovely front and back gardens have been fully-stocked with beautiful local palm trees, shrubs, adelphus, hibiscus, birds of paradise plants, twisted fig tree, banana tree, yucca plants, aloe vera plants, and various other succulents. The villa and gardens occupy an area in excess of 650 sq metres. A complimentary 'Welcome Pack' is provided. We include wine, bread, milk, butter, jam, biscuits and water in the 'Welcome Pack and there are containers of tea, coffee and sugar for your use. The Villa Manager lives locally and cleans the villa and changes the bed linen weekly. All towels and linen are provided. Towels are changed mid-weekly and weekly. Any additional baby/young children's equipment can be hired at a small additional charge.

Changeover day: Changeover day is flexible but most UK flights arrive and leave Lanzarote on a Thursday which is a preferred changeover day. Check-in time is 2pm and checkout time is 10am. A complimentary 'Welcome Pack' awaits your arrival. We include wine, bread, milk, butter, jam, biscuits and water in the 'Welcome Pack' and there are containers of tea, coffee and sugar for your use.

Notes to accommodation: We have provided a high quality heater for warming up the rooms if necessary during the cooler winter months and 2 portable fans for the hottest summer months. A small children's table and chairs is provided for the younger guests should it be needed with a selection of toys and games. Any additional baby/young children's equipment can be hired at a small additional charge. A hair drier is also there for your use.

Please ask for website address: Playa Blanca with its fine restaurants and shops is only 5 minutes drive away from our villa and Puerto del Carmen, which has a busy nightlife, if you wish, is only about 15 minutes drive away. The new Marine Rubicon is bursting with lovely restaurants and shops and there are some fine boats to admire whilst you sit and relax at the waters edge. Timanfaya National Park is also about 30 minutes by car and to travel from the south of the island to the north would probably only take you about 90 minutes. There is an 18 hole golf course which opened in July 2008 in Puerto del Carmen and another ful course in Costa Teguise. A third golf course is due to be built in Puerto Calero and ultimately, a fourth in Playa Blanca. Please view our website for an excellent guide as to sights to see on the Island of Lanzarote. Beautiful villa in a quiet and peaceful area of Playa Blanca. We found the villa clean and well looked after. Swimming pool was excellent! Would definately return here again for future holidays.

Stayed here with my family and found this to be a really lovely villa, it is spacious, clean and the pool was absolutely gorgeous and really warm!! It is set in a quiet and peaceful area which suited us perfectly, would stay here again and again!
