This is a wonderful villa on one of the largest plots in Shangrila Park, Playa Blanca. A very large patio with covered pergola offers shade and privacy, with outdoor dining using the integrated barbecue. A secluded roof terrace provides a further private sun area with wonderful views to Montana Roja and across to Fuerteventura. Shangrila Park is a quiet community with one of largest pools on the island, complete with ample sun areas around the pool. A tennis court and children's play park provide additional facilities, and an on-site shop is open from 8am to 10pm. This property has been freshly decorated by the owners, and includes access to free digital TV, and basic Sky packages. There is a wide selection of video and reading materials, and a CD/Tape/radio player system. Bicycles and a selection of children's toys are provided for the use of guests. All linen and towels are provided - local cleaning and maintenance contacts are on-site.

Playa Blanca is in the South of the island and boasts a wonderful area of beaches, shops, dramatic scenery, restaurants, and bars. The town also boasts a new marina as well as the original port where you can reach Fuerteventura for a short day trip. Shangrila Park is on the edge of Playa Blanca next to Montana Roja and the town centre can be reached in 5 minutes by car, 10 minutes by local bus service, or 15 to 20 minutes by bicycle on the wonderful new promenade by the coast. Shangrila Park is a vehicle free community (free parking is provided on-site) with the only collection of Moroccan style detached single-storey villas and apartments on the island. Coffee shops, bars, supermarkets and taxis can be accessed within 10 minutes walk but a car is the best way to explore the whole of this wonderful island during your stay. Residents and visitors of Shangrila Park can enjoy free access to tennis courts, children’s play ground and large pool.

The villa has been freshly decorated by the owners, and includes access to free digital TV, and basic Sky packages. There is a wide selection of video and reading materials, and a CD/Tape/radio system plus video & DVD players. 3 bicycles and a selection of children's toys are provided for the use of guests. 4 x Sun loungers are provided on the large tiled terrace to the side of the property and 2 on the separate roof terrace. A large table with 6 seats under the pergola provides a shaded outdoor area for breakfast and lunch, and a cool brightly lit area for dinner. An additional table with 4 chairs provides another informal dining area just outside the entrance. An outdoor chimney barbecue is accessed from the patio area. An information pack / maps are provided for all guests.

we had a fantastic holiday in your villa. It was perfect for us. the kids had the large pool practically to themselves. Hope you don't mind but the kids enjoyed playing with toys in the bedroom - great for us as kept them amused on the 2 rainy days. Thanks again!

Can't remember having 2 days rain in Playa Blanca very often!

Our week in the sun

Great weather, nice large villa, but we felt in need of a little maintenance, i.e. shower tray in en suite leaking badly. Car is essential as Shangrila is quite remote, but very quiet. Supermarket on complex was extremely useful and stocked a good range of goods. Take plenty of euros as Lanzarote has become quite expensive since our last visit. Thanks Graham for allowing us to spend the extra half a day due to our flight times.

Just what the Doctor Ordered

Having been suffering from Pneumonia in cold, wet England it was just perfect to arrive in Lanzarote to lovely warm sunshine. The villa had everything we needed for our weeks stay and is in a very secluded part of the complex. We thoroughly enjoyed riding the bikes into town and the purpose made cycle lanes on the pavement are great!
We would recommend hiring a car although there is a bus which runs into town every half hour from the outskirts of the complex. It takes around 10 minutes and only costs a couple of Euro's.
We will definitely consider a return trip next year.

Lanzarote villa, Playa Blanca

I took my 3 teenagers with me on holiday to Lanzarote this year as we all needed a break together after a tumultuous year in gloomy England! We've never been to Lanzarote before so we were all looking forward to seeing a new country. We chose this villa because it was roomy and looked very distinctive. We got there on a very hot Saturday afternoon and were blown-away at how lovely it was both from the outside and on the inside too. It was just the right size for us and the outside space was fantastic with a sun terrace and covered area. We hadn't realised how windy it was on the island, but if it hadn't been, I think it would have been too hot. The only negative aspect for us was that the shared pool area was only half open, but that didn't stop the kids from taking advantage of the cool water (could have done with being heated!). I would thoroughly recommend staying here, but car hire is essential as we found that taxi's are quite expensive and it is an isolated spot on the island.

Family Fun in the Sun

may i just say many thanks to the owners who understood our predicament - originally flying with XL airways... the owners were very accommodating due to us having to change our flights... and in the end we had a fantastic holdiay. The Villa was spotlessly clean.. and situated in a quiet area, (Car hire is definitely needed) we enjoyed using the barbeque, the roof terrace and patio area... it was a relaxing holiday. The papgayo's were a 10 minute drive, and we spent many a morning or afternoon there. the kids loved discovering the lagoon down on the cliff edge, watching all the fish and shrimp... you wouldn't have thought that they were 19, 16 & 14.... they had a brilliant time...
At times when they went to the pool, they were the only ones about. the shop was ideal for those little snacks, the bread and cakes made breakfast something of an event...
we had meals in at the Villa (outside under the pergola) and in Playa Blanca...
Timanfaya National Park is a must if you love Volcanology, and Montana Roja is one to climb, right near the villa... make sure you do it on a clear day.... you can see for miles..

I can honestly say that staying in the Villa was perfect, a great base to travel from, away from hustle and bustle, and nothing was too far away.

All in all an excellent holiday and would highly recommend it to friends and family.
