Casa Sophia is situated in the exclusive resort of Las Coloradas, in the sunny South of Lanzarote. Behind the villa and only an 8 minute walk away, you can explore the fantastic natural white beach coves of Payagayo. Here you can go snorkelling and the beaches are known to be the finest in the Canary Islands. Alternatively, you can experience the Playa Dorada beach which is an approximately 3 minute drive away. Here you will find a lovely bay with sun beds, umbrellas, restaurants, shops & watersports for the more energetic. In addition to the villa's wonderful location, with its plentiful amenities, it is also, if desired, a haven in which to simply relax and chill out by the villa's own pool. The villa has South and West facing large terraces for all day sun. However there is an outside covered area and/or parasol in which to take shade. Pretty garden areas stocked with sub-tropical plants and an outdoor shower for use with the pool and a BBQ area adjacent for al fresco dining.

  NB: 'SPECIAL RATES' ALSO WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR LONGER TERM RENTALS. e.g. in excess of 2 weeks duration. Please ask.
  We would be happy to assist and advise on CAR HIRE at low discounted rates, from a reputable company on the island, either to collect at the airport upon arrival, or to pick up at the resort.
  A pick up service from the airport, if required, can also be arranged. Please ask for details.

  Bookings are available ANY day of the week.
  Where it is at all possible, should you have a late departure flight, we will endeavour to be flexible regarding the vacating times from the villa.
  Our key aim is to endeavour to be as accommodating and flexible as possible and strive to ensure that your holiday is a memorable one.
  A deposit of £100 per week (non-refundable) is payable on confirmation of booking. The Balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival.
  White quality cotton bed linen and bath and hand towels, are provided each week. Please bring your own beach/swimming towels.
  A cleaning service is also provided, and included in the price.
  A minimum stay of two nights or more will also be considered, subject to availability.

A little about Casa Sophia

Casa Sophia, benefits from South and West facing Terraces for all day sun. The sunsets that can be experienced in the evenings, are both a joy and a privilege to witness. A new outside area has been recently constructed for PRIVATE sunbathing. This has been completed to a high standard, with beautiful Spanish ceramic tiles. A large shaded outside area is also provided with teak wooden table and chairs with comfy cushions. This is ideal for al Fresco dining. A 'WELCOME PACK' will also be made available upon your arrival, courtesy of Casa Sophia, to get your holiday off to a good start.

Famous Papagayo Beaches (1 Naturist)

Las Coloradas Is a carefully planned and designed new area, giving greater access to the famous Papagyo Beaches. Additionally, the resort of Playa Blanca has been developed, with great care, so as not to disturb the natural beauty of the volcanic area in which it resides. Within the immediate area are 4 excellent Hotels, one in particular stands out, 'THE VOLCAN' (5 Star) - uniquely, it is designed like a volcano. You are welcome in all these hotels. All hotels provide internet facilities.

Declared a Reserve of the Biosphere

Playa Blanca is in the southern most part of Lanzarote. In 1994 Lanzarote was officially declared a Reserve of the Biosphere by UNESCO, and more recently was named by the World Health Organisation as the 2nd healthiest place to live in the world. The promenade walk (approximately 4km long) extends from Las Coloradas via the Marina Rubicon and Dorada Beach (Golden Beach) to the centre (which hosts the smallest of the 3 main beaches), onto the harbour, and finally to Flamingo Beach/ Lagoon and the luxurious Hotel Timanfaya Palace, to the West of the village. Along here are many exciting shops, restaurants and bars that offer a wonderful selection of Canarian merchandise and food, particularly seafood. A frequent, car and passenger ferry also goes over to the neighbouring island of Fuerventura from the harbour at this location.

Golf Information:

Currently there is a golf course on the island which is based at Costa Teguise, towards the north east of Arrecife. This is an approximate 45 minute drive away, out from Playa Blanca. A new 18 hole course is presently under construction and is based at Puerto Del Carmen. This course has now opened 9 of its holes and is due for completion of all holes and clubhouse by mid 2008. The course is a 20 minute drive from the villa.
