The sunsets that can be experienced in the evenings, are both a joy and a privilege to witness.
A new outside area has been recently constructed for PRIVATE sunbathing. This has been completed to a high standard, with beautiful Spanish ceramic tiles.
A large shaded outside area is also provided with teak wooden table and chairs with comfy cushions. This is ideal for al Fresco dining.
Famous Papagayo Beaches (1 Naturist): Las Coloradas is a carefully planned and exceptionally designed new tropical landscaped area, giving greater access to the famous Papagyo Beaches. Additionally, the resort of Playa Blanca has been developed, with great care, so as not to disturb the natural beauty of the volcanic area in which it resides.
Within the immediate area are 4 excellent Hotels, one in particular stands out, 'THE VOLCAN' (5 Star) - uniquely, it is designed like a volcano. You are welcome in all these hotels.
Many nearby local hotels, bars, shops and Internet cafes provide Internet/Wi Fi facilities...... or alternatively we offer a Dongle facility for use at the villa and is available priced at only €25 per week...........please ask on enquiry for more details.
Tennis Courts and equipment are also available for hire in the Colorada Mar hotel and may be booked in advance at reception.
Declared a Reserve of the Biosphere: Playa Blanca is in the southern most part of Lanzarote. In 1994 Lanzarote was officially declared a Reserve of the Biosphere by UNESCO, and more recently was named by the World Health Organisation as the 2nd healthiest place to live in the world.
The promenade walk (approximately 4km long) extends from Las Coloradas via the Marina Rubicon and Dorada Beach (Golden Beach) to the centre (which hosts the smallest of the 3 main beaches), onto the harbour, and finally to Flamingo Beach/ Lagoon and the luxurious Hotel Timanfaya Palace, to the West of the village. Along here are many exciting shops, restaurants and bars that offer a wonderful selection of Canarian merchandise and food, particularly seafood.
A frequent, car and passenger ferry also goes over to the neighbouring island of Fuerventura from the harbour at this location.
Golf:
There are two golf courses on the island, one of which is a new 18 hole course which has been recently opened, including a clubhouse. The course is based in the resort of Puerto Del Carmen and is an approximate 25 minute drive from the villa.
A golf buggy and equipment may also be hired here.
There is also a further golf course on the island which is based at Costa Teguise, towards the north east of Arrecife.
Additionally, there is a 9 hole Pitch and Putt course nearby in Playa Blanca.
