Villa Palmira has a privately electrically heated pool and sunbathing terrace with traditional Spanish built BBQ.

The villa is designed and equipped in impressive style by one of the islands foremost builders, in which he has maximised the space available to great effect. From the superbly designed kitchen, this leads into the lounge, and dinning areas.

In the kitchen there is a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, ceramic hob, full sized oven, iron and ironing board, and all cooking utensils required.

Out side the kitchen is a private drying area for your washing.

The en-suite master bedroom has patio doors leading directly on to the sun terrace.

The property has satellite TV, and DVD (DVD's not supplied)

Clean linen and towels are provided each week. Beach towels not provided.

Villa Palmira is on the private residential area of Montana Roja (Red Volcano) in Playa Blanca, which is overlooked by the stunning extinct Red Mountain Volcano, and has fabulous views of Fuerteventura. It is ideally placed, in that everything is walking distance, shops, restaurants, bars, beaches, harbour, and the town centre, and yet it is in a quiet location. A great place to relax for couples and families, especially for those not wishing to hire a car. It is approximately a 15-minute walk to the Harbour where you can catch the frequent ferry to Fuerteventura, which is approximately 30min crossing time. A further 10-minute walk along this promenade, which has a wonderful display of Canarian shops restaurants and bars, you arrive in the old centre of Playa Blanca. The world famous beaches of Papagayo are only a 15-minute drive from your villa

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates shown are for 4 persons: Please add £80.00 per person per week extra up to a maximum of 6 in Total. The pool is solar heated all year, and during the summer months, this will be sufficient for swimming in the pool included in the prices shown. However during what can be the cooler months? November to end March, we would recommend the electric heating system is switched on, to guarantee 27/28C at all times. If this is requested then there is an additional charge of £60.00 a week. It is possible to use this additional system all year, if required. A deposit of 15% per week (non-refundable) is payable on confirmation of booking. The balance is to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. Children under 2 are our guests, so there is no charge. As a condition of booking we will require a copy of your holiday insurance. This can be faxed or emailed.
  • Bookings are normally from Thursday 3.00 PM to Thursday 10.00 am. Other transit days will be considered based on availability, please ask. Early arrivals are not a problem, please tell us what your times are, and we will do our best to accommodate you whilst the villa is being prepared. Up till 10.00am thought is still the previous guest’s holiday
  • A welcome pack: - consisting, of tea, water, sugar, Orange Juice, Beer, coffee, milk, biscuits, wine/cava is included in the above prices. We are happy to provide additional food for your holiday, please let us have your list, and you can pay us for this on your arrival
    High chairs, cots and child seats are available for hire at 25 Euro a week, per item. Car hire is available please ask for details. Please note - for 10 day holidays, extra towels will be provided at the beginning of your holiday, but no mid term clean or linen change will be provided, unless specifically requested and paid for separately, in which case please let us know how we can best assist you.

Playa Blanca: Playa Blanca is in the southern most part of Lanzarote. In 1994 it was officially declared a Reserve of the BIOSPHERE by UNESCO and more recently was named by the World Health Organisation as the 2nd healthiest place to live in the world. The promenade walk (approximately 4km long) extends from Los Coloradas via the Marina Rubicon to Dorada Beach (Golden Beach) to the centre, (which hosts the smallest of the 3 main beaches) onto the harbour, and finally to Flamingo Beach/ Lagoon and the luxurious Hotel Timanfaya, to the West of the village. Along here are many exciting shops, restaurants and bars that offer a wonderful selection of Canarian merchandise and food - particularly seafood.

Relax and unwind

This is the second year we have stayed at this villa. It is in good condition, well maintained and the pool is a super size. It is ideally placed for walking to the beach (5 minutes) where there are a couple of mini supermarkets and several restaurants providing for daily needs. The walk into town is on the flat and takes about 15 minutes. This side of Playa Blanca is quieter in my opinion with residential and hotel/self catering villa complexs side by side. Please note that this year a water slide is being built in a nearby complex and the top of the steps are visible (over the rooftops of the intervening villas) from the covered back terrace by the pool. Will this be a problem? I have no idea about the noise it may generate but when we have visited in March 2011 and April 2012 there have hardly been any residents on this complex and I have no idea when there 'season' is. But I would ask the question if we went again.

The water slide that is being built in the grounds of a local hotel has at this point caused no disruption. We are hoping that once all the work has been finished it will be an asset to the area, but will be more than happy to give you an update if you wish to book the villa again.
