Villa Cartaphilus is situated in the exclusive Los Mojones area of Puerto del Carmen Lanzarote. Villa Cartaphilus is approximately ten minute stroll to the old town of Puerto del Carmen, with its harbour area and many shops, bars and restaurants. The luxury villa has a swimming pool (8x4m) set in large sun terraces which offer both shaded an open areas. There is a purpose built-in barbecue and a poolside shower. The garden is surrounded by high walls for privacy. Entering through the large hallway, the villa has a split-level dining room and lounge with lovely high ceilings. Glass doors lead out onto the pool area. The separate kitchen is well-equipped and contains a breakfast area. There are two double bedrooms, both en suite, Master Bedroom with King Size Bed. The three twin bedrooms share the exceptional third bathroom which has lava walls and a sunken bath and walk in shower. There is also a WC by the entrance hall. Smoking is not permitted indoors. The nicest villa we've stayed in; clean and comfortable, well maintained, fully equipped for 10 people.
We had 9 in our party; 2 couples, 3 singles and 2 children and all were really comfortable. Smallest bedroom is a little cramped for 2 people, but we used as the single. The pool area has sun loungers for everyone - something you don't always find. Plus there were two full sets of quality wooden furniture which meant we could all eat outside at tables together - and then pull chairs round and enjoy the excellent BBQ facilities!
The position in Los Mojones means that a car is extremely useful. We all happily walked down to the town centre in the evenings, but tended to get taxi's back up the hill - bit of a long climb for young children and oldies.
