Guests have exclusive use of the swimming pool and amenities and privacy is guaranteed as the annexe is only available for rent when the main house is unoccupied.

Puerto del Carmen is a 5 minute drive away, offering a long curve of gently sloping fine dark sand. The coastal promenade houses endless bars, restaurants, shops and some discos. The finest fish restaurants can be found in the 'Old Town' which centres on a small fishing harbour. Puerto Calero is a lovely marina and is again a 5 minute drive away. The marina is a great place to wander, look at the fabulous boats and generally soak up a bit of the luxury atmosphere that permeates the whole place. You can certainly spend a few hours sat in one of the cafes or restaurants that overlook the marina without even realising how long you have been there. If you want to do more than just sit, Puerto Calero is the base for a number of water based activities, such as the Catlanza catamaran trips, submarine excursions, and a variety of sport-fishing boats which allow you to try your skill at landing Marlin or Blue-fin tuna in some of the best and most productive waters you can find.

Notes: Finca Carolina is a beautifully restored Canarian farmhouse. Tastefully furnished, the accommodation comprises one double bedroom with wardrobe, dressing table and window looking out onto landscaped garden. Bathroom with walk-in shower, WC and basin (no bath). Lounge with sofa, occasional furniture, CD Mini Hi-Fi, TV Satellite (with car) DVD and video player. The dining area has table and chairs for two people and the kitchen is fully equipped with storage units, electric hob, mini grill oven, refrigerator and full compliment of utensils etc., for self-catering. Outside, the entrance door leads out to a private patio area complete with patio furniture. There is a sunbathing area with sun loungers by the swimming pool. The terraces offer fantastic views of the countryside and coastline.

From the Airport: Due to the location of Finca Carolina, car hire is considered essential. A taxi from Arrecife Airport in Lanzarote to Puerto del Carmen or Macher is approximately 8 - 12 euros.

Lanzarote: Lying in a sub tropical location just off the coast of West Africe, Lanzarote is really the perfect place to find fabulous sunshine in dramatic settings. Volcanic activity over thousands of years has produced unusual sights similar to a lunar landscape, such as the green lagoon of El Golfo. Fire mountain in the Timanfaya National Park is another amazing phenomenon, where if a stick is pushed into the ground it will catch fire immediately due to the heat in the ground. Despite its mass of volcanic rocks, Lanzarote is by no means barren. Some of the volcanic soils are very fertile and the island has its own 'wine region' from which the delicious Malvasia wine is produced. In the north of the island you will find Cueves de los Verdes (the green caves) which are lava tunnels produced by volcanic eruptions. They are one of the longest in the world, stretching 7 km below the sea and visitors can walk 1.5 km down into them.

Puerto del Carmen: Situated on the South Coast this is the liveliest and most popular resort on the island. It has developed along side along curve of gently sloping fine dark sand, which stretches to the attractive beach areas of Playa do los Pocillos and Matagorda. It very rarely feels the pressure of being overcrowded. Puerto del Carmen is particularly well equipped with marine activities, including scuba diving, deep sea fishing and wind-surfing. The coastal promenade houses endless bars, restaurants, shops and some discos. The finest fish restaurants can be found in the 'Old Town', which centres on a small fishing harbour.

We first found this wonderful property back in 2004 and have enjoyed coming back every year since. It is so peaceful with great views and we feel completely relaxed and recharged after we have stayed. It is ideal for couples who prefer to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist resorts but still within a short drive away. Ideally located for visiting Puerto Del Carmen and Puerto Calero and even Playa Blanca is only a 20 minute drive away.
The annex has everything you need for a relaxing and romantic holiday and has lovely grounds and the additional benefit of the private pool which is rare to find for 1 bedroom properties.
The property is well maintained by the owners with lots of thoughtful extra touches to give it a more homely feel (welcome pack, books, dvd’s, cd’s, hairdryer etc). We can’t recommend this property highly enough.
