Review of Villa Del Sueno

The villa itself is very nice and is superbly equipped and Roy is an excellent host.
Outside there is a good size pool, a hot tub, a pool table, 8 sun loungers plus tables and chairs. There is also a BBQ that worked well.
Inside there is a large lounge/dining area with 3 sofas and a large dining table (would easily site 8). There is Sky+ complete with sports and movies, a huge flat screen TV, DVD player and even has a Playstation 3!
A good size kitchen comes complete with a large modern fridge freezer and a (reduced width) dishwasher. The kitchen is well equipped and cooking utensils seemed almost new. Hob, oven and microwave all worked well.
There are 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms - both doubles have en-suites. Ideal for two couples each with 2 kids. Each person is supplied with a beach towel, a bath towel and a hand towel.
There is an ironing board and iron, washing machine, vacuum cleaner.
The villa is cleaned thoroughly once a week, with a quicker clean and towel change being done in a 2nd visit. The pool and hot-tub is cleaned every day.
Tias is a smallish town set on top of a hill. It is about 5 mins drive from Puerto Del Carmen and 15 mins from Acerife (10 from the airport). There is a good supermarket and a few reasonable restaurants. Its not somewhere I'd particularly recommend, its just a small town. If you would like local restaurants or evening entertainment without having to drive, I'd recommend one of the resorts - we liked Playa Blanca. However, if you don't mind a short drive (or taxi ride) then they are all close to hand, and parking is not a problem.
The villa is opposite a large garage which sell groceries and English papers. However, it spoils what would otherwise be a marvellous panoramic view down to the cost. You also get very used to the sound of the car washes, jet-washes! It is all walled off very effectively and we never found it to be obtrusive. Indeed we were thankful on the night of the power-cut as the garage had a generator so we could sit outside in the light!
We chose this villa because of the facilities that it offered, and we were not disappointed. Indeed, I'd say it made our holiday - along with the great whether and hospitality. If you don't mind driving out for an evening, I'd thoroughly recommend it.
