Approximately 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a 'new' and 'old' town, Puerto del Carmen has no high rise structures and almost all the buildings are white and unpretentious. In the evenings you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you will find anything from English sports bars to Chinese restaurants. Further afield, search out the new harbour and restaurants at Puerto Calero, for a relaxing evening in luxurious surroundings.

Notes: Beautiful Villa with front and rear gardens and an extensive private patio area ideal for sun worshippers. Guests can use the communal swimming pool, which is also heated. There is a small adjoining children’s pool for our younger visitors. Inside, the bedrooms enjoy the benefit of fitted wardrobes and a safe in the double bedroom. The kitchen is fully fitted so if you wish to prepare some of the delicious local produce and dine alfresco beneath the veranda you can! The location is very quiet whilst remaining convenient for all the local services. Car hire is not essential as local taxis are cheap and frequent and maintained to a very high standard. However should you wish to explore further afield car hire is inexpensive.

Just returned from a week here with my 6yr old - fabulous. Clean, well equipped and well furnished. Location great - felt safe and secure (very important as single female with young child). Lots of child friendly stuff nearby - huge beach. The pool was lovely but a bit cold for us as the weather was so-so. Had a maintenance problem whilst there which was solved swiftly and efficiently - thank you. Cant wait to come back - already planning next year.

Christine and I have been going to Villa Pennlee for three years and suffice to say we love it. Just returned home two hours ago and here I am writing a review. Everything about this villa is just perfect. It is far enough away from the hustle bustle but close enough to walk or a short taxi journey. Each year we return, Stuart the owner has upgraded another thing for the villa be it new patio furniture or inside the villa itself.
Although it has a shared pool, more often than not, you have it to yourself.
