Lanzarote: is perfect for a fabulous sunshine holiday, it lies in a sub-tropical location just 80 miles from Africa. There are many sites to see that have been created by the volcanic activity over thousands of years. Timanfaya National Park is an amazing phenomenon, where if a stick is pushed into the ground it will catch fire immediately due to the heat in the ground. Cuevas de los verdes (the green caves) are lava tunnels produced by volcanic eruptions. These are one of the longest in the world, stretching 7 km below the sea and visitors to the caves can walk 1.5 km down into them. Some of the volcanic soils are very fertile and the Island has its own 'wine region' from which the delicious Malvasia wine is produced.

Puerto del Carmen: Situated on the Coast this is the liveliest and most popular resort on the Island. It as developed along side a long curve of gently sloping fine dark sand, which stretches to Playa de los Pocillos and Matagorda, it is very rarely overcrowded .Puerto del Carmen is very well equipped for water sports scuba diving, deep sea fishing and windsurfing to name a few. The coastal promenade houses many fine restaurants, bars and shops. The finest fish restaurants can be found in the Old Town which centres a small fishing harbour.

A very relaxing villa holiday!

We have just returned from 2 weeks in this villa, our second stay as we also stayed for 2 weeks in August 2008.
I can honestly say that this is a 5 star villa that is close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The pictures and description on the internet don't do it justice!
The villa is very comfortable and has everything you need to make your stay a very pleasant one.
It is very clean and well maintained by Lionel and the 4 cleaning ladies who do their utmost not to disturb your holiday.
Eric and Pauline made the organisation of our holiday straightforward and uncomplicated.
I would not hesitate to recommend this villa to friends and family.

I have recently got back from Villa Oliver (23rd July 09) and it is the best villa I have stayed in... it is exactly like you see in the pictures, amazing pool and is a very well decorated modern villa with every thing you need, in a perfect location. I would highly recommend 5*****

10 years since out last visit to the island but won't be 10 years till our next. This is the only place to stay on Lanzarote. What you see on the internet is even better in the flesh.

Beautifully appointed, great service from Lionel and the cleaning ladies, and not forgetting the owners Eric and Pauline.

Thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing week and still envisage sitting on the veranda with book and wine whilst back here in Scotland with the Scottish sunshine (dull and wet!).

Highly recommended to all for it's convenience to amenities, etc, but mainly for the sheer luxury of finding a holiday home that can please all ages - young and old. Congratulations Eric and Pauline.

Arrived at the villa at night opened the door stunning all lit up. welcome basket on arrival saved us a trip out to the shops,exceptionally clean and tidy including the pool.Enjoyed a relaxing week by the pool in the sun and trying out the local cuisine.walking distance to the shops,beach and resteraunts would stay again recommended

We stayed in the villa in Feburary 2009 for our honeymoon with our two girls (ages 6 and 4). We had a brilliant holiday from start to finish. The villa is really nice, spotless clean and very well equipped. From being picked up at the airport by Lionel to the welcome basket we received on arrival, the experience was 5 star and more! The kids loved the pool and the Sky TV and we loved relaxing by the pool while the kids played. The beach, shops and restaurants were close by yet the villa is situated in a quiet area and was so peaceful. We didn't hire a car and didn't need one as everything was within walking distance or a cheap taxi fare if the kids were tired. Overall, our stay at the villa was excellent. Thanks to Eric, Pauline and Lionel for everything, it truely was a holiday to remember. We are already planning a return visit!
