The typically Spanish and peaceful village of La Caleta is situated in the Fanabe region of Tenerife. It has a selection of quiet bars and delightful restaurants specialising in locally caught fish and seafood. The village has its own beach where guests can relax and enjoy the cooling waters of the Atlantic Ocean. A short walk of around 3/4 mile will take guests to the stylish and cosmopolitan resort of Playa Del Duque, the centre of which is closed to traffic, and its pedestrianized walks which are alive with open air restaurants and bars. If guests continue to the east there is the lively resort of Playa de las Americas with its many bars, restaurants, 'English' pubs and nightlife. This can be reached easily by car but a better way to approach it is to take a stroll along the lovely Geranium walk, a flower bedecked promenade stretches all the way to the port of Los Cristianos. There are 5 golf courses within 30 minutes drive the nearest being the 18 hole Costa Adeje golf course.

Relaxing Holiday

We've just spent a really relaxing week in La Caleta. The area is really quiet and still retains some character with some very good restaurants within walking distance although only 10 mins in the car if you want to venture into Las Americas.
It was also a good base for touring the island. We hired a car and if hairpin bends on the side of a mountain are your thing then this is the place to go. Well worth it for the spectacular scenery.
Booking the apartment was very easy and it couldn't be faulted with the exception of the beds which were extremely hard but this is our only criticism and we would certainly go back.
