A quality apartment in a detached villa on the coast in El Medano, Los Delfines offers wonderful accommodation for holiday-makers looking for a bit more than sun, sea and sand. This immaculately clean, tastefully furnished apartment comprises two bedrooms, one twin and one double, bathroom with shower, fitted kitchen (fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, electric hob, washing machine etc), lounge with dining area leading out through french doors to a sunny 25m2 patio with BBQ, granite furniture, loungers and a beautifully tended private garden. This apartment offers 24hr broadband wifi access. Los Delfines is 1.5km from the center of El Medano where cafés, restaurants and small shops abound, a 3 minute walk from the beach of Montaña Pelada, a relatively unknown sandy bay with clear waters. With only two steps up to the entrance gate this apartment is wheelchair friendly.

El Medano is a quiet fishing village in south Tenerife between Candelaria and Los Cristianos. Well loved by Tinerfeños, the beach in El Medano is the longest natural white sand beach on the island. El Medano has two protected mountains, one either side of the village. On the right Montaña Roja, on the left Montaña Pelada. Los Delfines is to be found 3 minutes walk from Montaña Pelada which houses a pretty sandy beach at its base. This beach is little known to tourists. In the village small shops and restaurants abound. Typical canarian cuisine alongside more international flavors Proximity to the main roads makes exploring easy, be it Teide, Santa Cruz or Los Gigantes, all accessible in 1hr. Windsurfing is the predominant sport in El Medano. Cabezo beach gets big waves whilst playa sur is much more protected. Canooing, snorkling, kite surfing, body boarding, swimming or just lazing around in the sun, El Medano offers it all in a friendly, mainly spanish atmosphere.

Fantastic apartment, fantastic holiday

We loved every minute of our stay here and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

We arrived to be greeted by lovely Pauline who had provided us with some basic water and food to start us of which was great after 8 hours of travelling. Both Pauline and the whole family made us feel instantly welcome and at home and the apartment was furnished so that there is nothing lacking. Everything is in very good working order and sparkling clean and comfortable. Outside the garden is even more beautiful than the pictures and very private.

El Medano is a lovely seaside town, about I mile’s walk to the centre from the apartment along the beach. There are plenty of shops and supermarkets, plus bars and restaurants. The market on Saturday had a great atmosphere and although small was nice to walk around for half an hour.

We went into town on the first day and did a massive food shop which kept us going for the whole week and got a taxi back, then for the rest of the week went to the local Spar shop just down the road for bread and essential supplies of wine! However, it is really easy to rent a car too if you want to explore Tenerife, but we didn’t feel the need to as the town for us had plenty and the apartment was so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave anyway.

Altogether a FANTASTIC holiday, one which will never be forgotten and we would definitely go back to again. Many many thanks to Pauline and her family for making our week so brilliant.
