• As Tenerife is an all year round holiday destination these prices remain unchanged throughout the year, with the exception of the Christmas/New Year period when there is an addition of 25%.

LOCAL INFORMATION

Golf del Sur has a variety of shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. As well as the 27-hole championship golf course, there are tennis courts, gymnasiums, a brand new bowling green and a diving centre located here. A short drive away (or walk accross the beach if you feel so inclined!!) is the fishing village of Los Abrigos which is renowned for it's excellent seafood restaurants. A little further round the coastline is the wind surfing resort of El Medano with it's wide sandy beach and beachfront bars and restaurants.

GOLF INFORMATION

Ever since its 1987 inaugural event, a competition for professionals, the 27 greens and fairways of Golf del Sur have provided the backdrop for various top international tournaments. In 1995, Golf del Sur hosted the Shell Wonderful World of Golf tournament with its head-to-head battle between Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson. Golf del Sur has also been the setting for two golf driving distance records, both of which were set by Britain's Karl Woodward. First he set a new record of 398 yards and then, a few months later, he managed to break the legendary 400-yard barrier with a huge stroke which sent the ball flying 408 yards. This Tenerife golf course, designed by Pepe Gancedo, is a thoroughly enjoyable layout, where your attention is immediately caught by the black volcanic sand bunkers and the beautiful native plantlife.

BOWLING INFORMATION

The new complex of 'Winter Gardens' is the home to the new Tenerife International Bowl Club. During the last decade it has been recognised the world over that lawn bowls, and more notably 'flat green' bowls, as it is most commonly known, has, in many countries, become one of the largest participation sports of the general public as a whole. With this in mind it is hardly suprising that a Bowling Stadium, built to the highest international standards and offering first-class facilities would be a huge success. The green has been designed to the most demanding standards, with 8 rinks of Greengauge carpet over underlay - on a concrete foundation. Top quality materials have been used in preparation to ensure a perfect surface on which to play outdoors, all year round.
