Spacious, bright and newly decorated one bed apartment situated at Tenerife's only International Bowling Green complex of Winter Gardens. The accommodation consists of a lounge (with generous sized double sofa bed) leading through patio doors onto a sunny terrace and a private garden. There is a TV with BBC1, BBC2, ITV, CH4 and CH5 plus a DVD player, radio/Cd player, books/DVDs/brochures etc, ceiling fan. There is a well equipped kitchen comprising full sized hob/oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, smoothie/ sandwich maker. The bedroom has twin single beds, dressing area with fitted wardrobes, ceiling fan, hair-dryer, safe and ensuite comprising of a bath, overhead shower, whb, WC and bidet. The main bathroom consists of a double sized shower, whb and WC. The furniture has been upgraded to give the apartment a modern/fresh feel. A private underground parking space is included. There is an inflatable bed for a fifth person if required.

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands situated approximately 200 miles off the north coast of Africa. It is just four hours flying time from the UK. The average temperature ranges from 19* in January to 30* at the height of the summer. The winter months are the busiest in the Canary Islands because of the general all-year-round temperatures. Golf Del Sur is around 10 minutes drive from Tenerife South Airport on the coast of the island as you drive towards the resorts of Los Christianos/Las Americas (10mins drive). Golf Del Sur has everything from golf courses, water sports, restaurants/shops/bars and a marina to stunning scenery but yet it remains a haven for peace and tranquility. If you are a party reveller seeking the nightclubs this is not the place for you! There is a beautiful coastal path leading from the marina to San Blas Square which passes many coffee shops/restaurants etc. In San Blas you will find a bank, church, internet cafe, shops and numerous restaurants/bars.

  • The master bedroom is spacious and bright and consists of two single 3ft beds. There is a bedside cabinet/lamp, chest of drawers, hairdryer, ceiling fan and separate dressing area including built in wardrobes (one housing a safe for your valuables). Just off this area is an ensuite bathroom. A single inflatable bed (with foot pump) has been provided should a fifth person need to be accommodated. The sofa bed in the lounge pulls out into a large comfortable double bed and would easily accommodate two large adults. It is extremely comfortable to sleep on. A ceiling fan above provides air circulation if required. This is the perfect apartment for a family with small to mid range children as the second bathroom and garden are perfect.

The apartment is designed to make your stay as welcome and comfortable as possible. I have provided a large wall map of Tenerife and a number of brochures on bus timetables, places to see etc. An information pack, visitor’s book, novels/paperbacks, DVDs and Cd's have also been provided. A welcome pack will greet you on your arrival and provides the basics until you can get across the road to the supermarket. (Opens 8am to 10pm daily and doesn't close mid afternoon). In the fitted wardrobes are an iron, ironing board and vacuum. Two sun loungers are also supplied for use in the private garden. Winter Gardens have its own poolside cafe as well as Pedros restaurant. The complex is quiet and peaceful at night. Children's cots and high chairs can be provided (at a small cost). Car rental/trips/excursions can be booked at the on-site bowling reception.

Winter Gardens

An attractive, well presented complex built in 2002, dominated by the only International Bowling Green on the island. It offers a superb bowls arena which is open daily to the public but also caters for large tour parties of bowlers from all over the globe. There is an on-site bowling coordinator and bowls reception. The bowling green has 8 rinks, flat greengage bowling surface and opens daily from 9am to late evening under floodlight. Restaurants, bars and a snack bar cater for the residents and visitors to Winter Gardens. Tuition is on hand if required and families are welcome. The complex also hosts bar-b-ques, cabaret nights and bowling competitions.

Amenities

Close to Winter Gardens are a number of restaurants offering Chinese/Thai/Japanese, Spanish, Tapas, Mexican and seafood cuisine. The seafront is literally a five minute walk away and on Friday mornings there is a weekly market opposite the Aguamarina Hotel. A new marina has recently been completed and offers a variety of water sports such as sailing courses to water skiing, scuba diving and canoeing. There is a lovely little bar situated on the marina and a number of cabin cruisers and yachts on the water. About a mile from the complex there is a go-karting course and for those who want to venture a little bit further, Loro Parque Zoo is a great place to visit for a day out. Mount Teide is the main attraction on the island. This is an extinct volcano which can be reached by cable car and is well worth a visit for its stunning scenery alone. Los Christianos and Las Americas are more lively resorts and are easily accessed by taxi for serious shoppers and party revellers.

Golf Information:

The resort of Golf Del Sur has a golf course of the same name. This is a 27 hole, par 72 course, built in 1987 and has hosted several PGA championships. Amarilla Golf is a stunning 18 hole course situated in Golf Del Sur and has excellent clubhouse facilities. There are four more courses within an easy driving distance and eight on the entire island. Most of the courses offer deals if you enquire in advance but this is also dependant on the season. Green fees drop considerably from May/June but check with each individual clubhouse first.
