3-Bedroom Penthouse at Duquesa del Mar

From the first moment we contacted Stephen at Tenerife Lettings, we knew that our family holiday was in good hands.
We described the sort of accommodation we were lookng for and were given a number of options. The 3-bedroom penthouse at the Duquesa del Mar complex was perfect for us - luxurious setting, and a residential complex so very quiet. Worth mentioning, though, is the fact that there are a number of stairs so it may not be the best location if you're not as fit as you used to be!
This beautiful, spacious apartment provided us with the perfect base for a wonderful holiday. The view of the sea from the balcony outside our bedroom was breathtaking and a lovely way to start each day.
The pool at Duquesa is fantastic with no charge being made for sunbeds - the only suggestion we would make is that some shade would be a welcome addition given the amazing sunshine of Tenerife!
Stephen and his team could not have been more helpful - organising taxis for us from the airport for a modest fee, assisting with suggestions for car rental and Sue, who looks after things on site, even lent us her own fan when we mentioned that our boys' bedroom was a little too warm!
Duquesa del Mar is ideally situated with a huge selection of restaurants within walking distance (although taxis are abundant and very reasonable if the thought of walking home does not appeal!). Our favourite was a new restaurant - "Big Al's" - just outside Son Blas. A gorgeous setting, amazing views, varied menu, friendly staff and very reasonable.
We met up with friends on holiday and, while the men took the older boys to one of the local golf courses, the ladies took the younger children to crazy golf - all within walking distance.
We hired a car - with three children aged 13, 11 and 9, we wanted to explore Tenerife. We visited the amazing Loro Parque at Puerto de la Cruz, Parque Las Aguilas and Aqualand at Adeje, Fanabe Beach (don't get caught out by the "Tooty Fruity Man" who sells fresh fruit on the beach - it cost us 35 Euros for some melon and pineapple!) and even ventured in to Playa de las Americas for some shopping.
All in all, we had a perfect holiday and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Duquesa del Mar complex, or indeed Tenerife Lettings, to anyone. We certainly plan to use them again - hopefully soon!
