Los Cristianos holiday apartment

We arrived at the complex at 10.30pm in the dark but had no problems finding the apartment as we had been supplied with good directions from the owner. We were really pleased with the size and lay out (which is spacious as described). The Complex is very clean and well managed. In the area are three very good restuarants within a 2-5mins walk but if you don't want to eat out there is a supermarket just a short walk away that has plenty to choose from.
The complex is situated at the top of a hill which is walkable but in the heat of the day may be worth a taxi home from the beach. There are a lot of beaches to choose from but becareful if you have little ones because the beach we used had a little drop a few yards out. (Only about a foot but could catch out a child.)
We had 2 young men with us who travelled into the neighbouring town Players de las Americas for their evening entertainment a couple of times and found the taxis very reasonable.

We first visited Port Royale in December 2007 and enjoyed our stay so much that we have re-booked for this summer. The apartment is spacious and comfortable and we found the two bathrooms a real bonus. The apartment's spacious balcony, from where you can see the harbour lights in the evening, is a lovely spot for having breakfast or just relaxing in the evening. The whole complex, which we found to be nice and quiet, is bright and clean and it is obvious that the management take pride in it's overall appearance. The lovely beach is a pleasant 30 minute stroll away through the town which offers a variety of very good restaurants and shops for all tastes and budgets. We usually took a taxi back to the apartment which never cost more than 4 Euros. Closer to the complex there is also a good supermarket with everything you could need to self cater and if we didn't fancy the walk into the town in the evenings we found the adjacent restaurant very handy especially as they offered a takeaway service. The contact we had with the owner before we left for our trip was invaluable and she ensured that we had full details of the location of the complex, a local map and keys to the apartment. All of this information was given to us in plenty of time before our departure. Our first trip was a very lazy, relaxing holiday and enabled us to "get our bearings" and we are really looking forward to our next visit this summer and being able to take advantage of the good location of the resort in general and to be able to do more sightseeing. I would definately recommend a visit to Port Royale.
