Los Cristianos holiday apartment

Very clean studio. Sun on balcony from 3pm. Sky Tv, British channels. EXCELLENT OWNER. All very efficient. Studio is part of a complex that's at the top of a VERY steep hill - hire car recommended. Complex has small- ish pool so very busy with children when i was there in august, so much so i only used it twice in 2 weeks. Very quiet complex in general - backs onto the hill so doesn't feel as built up as the rest of los christianos. Hotels nextdoor and italian reataurant at base of complex are excellent.The majority of bars are all a bit pie and chips for my taste, but Tandoori nights , indian on the way to playa de las americas was excellnt value. Taxi from complex is 4 euro into the port area of los christianos. Composta (check spelling!!) is much nicer than las vistas beach, fab lagoon area on which to float around on a lilo, i wish i'd found it before my last day!!!- just walk along the seafront a bit further towards playa de las americas and its just around the corner from las vistas beach. The complex is quite family based and really not suitable for gangs out on the raxxle daxxle! (too far to stagger home and no one would apreciate the noise!)I had a few problems with one of the resident neighbours. There is a big 'spar' at the bottom of the hill for food, though it is quite expensive - would recommned going to a supermarket further inland if you have a hire car. If you have a car make sure you go up to mount Teide - leave at 8am so you can get to the cable car before the queues do - i missed out as there was a 2 hour queue. Los garanchos ("hour drive) is nice on the north of the island, very spanish. Los Gigantes seemed to me to be a bit posher and more sedate, but no beaches, just rocky pools to lie on. I also liked the surfy vibe going on in Los Medano (about 15 min drive away) (where i also found internet cafe for 50c for half an hour!) and fantastic surf beaches there - lots of wind and kite surfing as it is so windy there, but it was nice to have a cooling breeze. I would go back there again.

My fiancee and I went to Los Cristianos for two weeks in July (08).
The apartment was great, it had all the extras you don't get from a package holiday complex such as oven, grill, iron, ironing board, comfy matresses, and all the little decorative touches that made the apartment feel homely. The bathroom is very modern and a key feature in the apartment. The only draw back is that it is at the top of a steep hill but it keeps you fit!! There are many taxis to take you up there from the beach front if you find it difficult. The pool area is clean and well maintained but a little quiet as the pool bar was not open - although very relaxing if thats what you're looking for. There are a few more lively pools very close by . Weather was tremendous!! Had an excellent stay with nice restraunts and bars close at hand. This apartment represents value for money and I would recommend you try it.

lovely appartment,clean, tidy, very cozy, pleased there was no dogs alowed but disappointed that neighbour had 3 and was noisey,that was my only concern ,but thank you john for letting us have your homely appartment,lovely area and great entertainment in area and restuarants too
