Spacious self catering holiday rental apartments at the popular Garden City complex in Playa las Americas. One bedroomed apartment sleeps 4 with twin beds in the bedroom and sofa bed in the separate living room. A studio apartment offers twin beds (1 has double bed) and sofa bed. Spacious studio apartment which sleeps up to 3 people. The apartment is fully fitted with twin beds and a sofa bed for the third person. Satellite Television with a range of British programmes which usually includes BBC and ITV etc . There is a fully fitted kitchen with hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, pots and pans etc. Fully fitted bathroom with bidet, toilet, wash hand basin and bath with shower above. The sunny patio boasts table and chairs plus a pull out clothes line. A choice of 2 sandy beaches within a 5 minute walk. Garden City boasts two pools plus a children's pool. The main pool is heated during the winter months. A pool bar offers snacks and meals and entertainment plus there is a mini market. Gym and Self Service Launderette on site.The apartment is cleaned and maintained by a British couple who have looked after my apartments for several years. They are easily contactable in case of any problems.

Garden City is the ideal holiday apartment complex. Quiet and well run yet with shops, bars, restaurants and Barclay's Bank with 24 hour ATM machine just outside the self catering complex. The well known San Eugenio Shopping complex is within a couple of minutes stroll with its large underground car park and many shops and pavement cafes. Garden City is situated in the quieter area of Playa las Americas just opposite the 4 star Hotel Bouganville Playa Hotel. There are a choice of two sandy beaches both within a five minute stroll but with all the hustle and bustle close by. One of the beaches is at the Puerto Colon marina which is complete with boats and restaurants and ideal for boat trips. Book direct from British owner and save money. There is off street parking but a car is unnecessary as everything is close at hand. The airport is only a 20 minute ride away in a taxi which costs approximately 18 Euros (around £13). The new Siam Park is within walking distance.

    I can hold the apartment for a couple of days for guests to source flights. I then ask for a £50 deposit and the balance 8 weeks before guests fly.
  • Janet cleans and maintains the apartment on my behalf and is easily contactable in case guests have any problems while they are on holiday. Furnishings and layout of apartments may vary.
  • Arrival days are either a Tuesday, Friday, Saturday During quiet times other days can be accommodated.

Plenty to do - or just relax in the Tenerife sun: There are five golf courses and all within a fifteen minute drive of Playa las Americas. The famous Aqua Park with its famous slides, flumes and dolphin show is only a short distance away. There is scuba diving, deep sea fishing to catch Marlin or Tuna, sailing, boat trips. Plus there is diving, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf, wind-surfing, water skiing, mountaineering, paragliding, roller blading The North of the island is completely different and if you wish some culture visit The House of Balconies and the art exhibitions in the North of the Island. Mount Teide is well worth a visit especially in the winter when you can play in the snow then come back to the South and swim in the sea. The Loro Parque - the world famous parrot park with all its other animals including a special penguin house, shark tunnel, tigers etc The fantastic and much talked about Siam Park is now open and within an easy stroll of Garden City

Relax and enjoy your holiday: There are no extras to pay for electricity or water etc and there is no gas in the apartments. Just in case of any problems Janet - who I have known for years, looks after and maintains the apartments on my behalf. She is easily contactable in case you have any problems while you are on holiday. Luckily this rarely happens - but it is good to know there is someone there - just in case. There is a 24 hour security guard on site so the complex is safe. There is usually a lifeguard at the main pool for most of the day.

Home comforts: Satellite television in each apartment and this receives a range of British programmes including, ITV, BBC etc. Clean linen is provided and the beds made up for your arrival. Linen is changed at the end of the week for bookings of two weeks or more. But please take your own towels. There is a self service launderette on site. There is a book shelf with books to read - if you wish to take one home please replace with another book so the next guests have books to read.

Other Activities: The new Siam Park is within walking distance and boasts being the largest water park in Europe.

My son stayed in a one bedroomed apartment and we had a studio to the rear of the complex. The balcony got the sun for most of the day.

The apartment was very well presented and had satellite TV and there was also a shelf full of books for us to read.

Everyone on the complex was very friendly and this one of the best holidays I have had. There was even a gym where I could burn off those extra calories. Plus the heated pool was an added bonus - as the unheated pool was chilly.

An added bonus was the self service launderette situated just through the reception. With the luggage allowances these days it meant we were able to just pack a few clothes and as we were there for 3 weeks this was ideal.

We return home today (I am sending this from tjhe internet in the reception) just 1 Euro for half an hour. So while away I was also able to keep in contact with my friends.

I will definately be back and have no hesitation in recommending these apartments from this owner.
Owner's Response: The heated pool is really a must for the winter months. Although the days are usually hot, it can get chilly at night and the water does get cold in an unheated pool. Garden City is lucky in that it has two large swimming pools and those feeling brave can use the unheated pool at the rear of the complex. The childrens pool is also heated.

The self launderette means that guests do not have to take a lot of luggage and it is ideal for those who are staying for two weeks or more. The launderette is situated just through the reception area and tokens can be purchased from reception.

There is also a internet terminal in reception for those who want to keep in touch.

The book shelf in each apartment has proved very popular. I just ask that if a guests needs to take an unfinished book for the journey home, they replace with another book to keep the shelf topped up.

Great stay

Just back from another great 2 weeks. Apartment overlooked the pool and it was good to sit on the balcony and watch my son in the pool.

The pool was heated which meant I could also have a swim.

Weather wsa glorious everyday reached about 28 degrees and went home with a lovely tan.

Apartment was immaculate and clean and the satellite TV was great for those nights we stayed in. The TV even got BBC1 and ITV etc.

I have already recommended to friends and I will be back.
Owner's Response: It is always good to receive reviews and pleased you had a good time in the sun. The heated pool is great for the winter months. There is also second pool to the rear of the complex which most people don't find.

There is plenty to do in the evenings but the satellite TV is good for those nights you want to spend in.

Next time you go don't forget to visit the new Siam Park which is within walking distance of Garden City and a great day out for all the family.

my partner and I spent a very nice fortnight in Deannes apartment and found it very well equipped and clean and comfortable Nearby is a little shop that sells everything you could want and there is a bar/cafe on site
If you are a poolside person it could n't be better and if (like me you like to get out and about ) it is centrally situated for everything. Tenerife has such a range of shops entertainment and restaurants that it can meet everyones demands All this plus wonderful weather. I wish I was back there now
Owner's Response: The poolside apartments are proving very popular and guests are booking again and again.

Garden City is close to everything you could want and has the added bonus of having a heated pool for the winter months which is essential - even though the days are lovely and hot the cool evenings mean the water cools very quickly.

With the self service launderette on-site you do not need to take many clothes.

Plus with the choice of two sandy beaches only a five minute walk away and shops and restaurants right outside the complex.

The pool bar and restaurant has recently been refurbished and is now under new management and offers food and drink and reports from guests say "it's great."

The complex is well run and the new Siam Park is within an easy walk. All this makes Garden City the ideal complex for a good holiday.

Garden City Studio Appartment

We had a fabulous week at the beginning of October. Sunshine everyday. The appartment was clean, tidy and quiet. The complex has 2 clean and well maintained pools. It is well situated for a number of good bars and restuarants. Ideal for walkers but for the less energetic the bus/taxi services are regular and cheap. We are looking forward to the next time.

stayed at one of the three studios this person has last month and was only able suffer two days there and then booked into a hotel. The place has no airconditioning or even a fan .It was unbearably stifling ! The bathroom shower tap came off in my hand and I was scalded trying to replace it to turn water off.The bathroom smelled most unpleasant due to poor sewerage and urine saturation around the wc. The beds were springy and noisy and obviously well worn despite owner advertising all the furniture and beds had been recently replaced. They certainly werent in this studio!
The studio is situated right beside the pool where all the sunbeds are stacked , so there was a noisy rush at eight in the morning to claim sunbeds and cover with towels for the day right below your below your balcony.
The pool was extremely rowdy with youths throwing balls about and lilos taking a lot of space, therefore our child felt intimidated and did not go into the pool. The other pool at the top end of complex was much quieter but had only a very small shallow part for little ones and non swimmers.
Overall , a very disappointing and also expensive time due to having to book into a hotel after two days

You don't even seem to know when you stayed in the apartment - it was July and not August! I have to question why you waited three months to leave a review.

To say there is no window is blatanly untrue. There are a double set of patio doors which open onto your own private balcony. There is a chain on the door for security.

The bathroom is brand new in this apartment and any urine stains must have been left by one of your party. No report of a faulty tap was made!

The furniture has been recently replaced. Fans are not usually needed, but they are available to hire from the reception if required.

Usually the poolside studios are the most popular and the amount of repeat booking I get would bear this out.

The sunbeds are not stacked right outside the apartment and under community rules these are not unlocked until 9.00 am.

You arrived in the first week of the school summer holidays so the pool area was bound to be busy - I would imagine every swimming pool in Tenerife is exactly the same. I already have three repeat bookings for next August.

Garden City is a family complex and there are not usually problems. But people are enjoying themselves on holiday, so it is shame your child felt they could not join in. There is a life guard on duty around the main pool and is there to make sure there are no problems.

You did not contact Janet, my local contact during your stay - nor did you inform me of any probplems on your return. I therefore have to question the content and the reliability of this review.
