Situated in the popular Garden City holiday rental complex in Playa las Americas - this Tenerife apartment offers everything you could need for your holiday in the sun. The apartment has twin beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the separate living room. Satellite Television which a range of English programmes which includes BBC and ITV etc. The fully fitted kitchenette comes complete with fridge, oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board etc. The sunny balcony boasts patio table and chairs and a pull out washing line. There are two pools and a children pool. The main pool is heated in winter. There is a pool bar which offers snacks and meals and daily entertainment. Garden City is the ideal holiday apartment complex. Quiet and well run yet with shops, bars, restaurants and Barclay's Bank with 24 hour ATM machine just outside the self catering complex. The well known San Eugenio Shopping complex is within a couple of minutes stroll with its large underground car park and many shops and pavement cafes. Garden City is situated in the quieter area of Playa las Americas just opposite the 4 star Hotel Bouganville Playa Hotel. There are a choice of two sandy beaches both within a five minute stroll but with all the hustle and bustle close by. One of the beaches is at the Puerto Colon marina which is complete with boats and restaurants and ideal for boat trips. Book direct from British owner and save money. There is off street parking but a car is unnecessary as everything is close at hand. The airport is only a 20 minute ride away in a taxi which costs approximately 18 Euros (around £13). The new Siam Park is within walking distance.

  • Prices based on 2 sharing. Each additional person £20 per person per week. Apartment sleeps up to 4 people with two on twin beds in the bedroom and two on sofa bed in separate living room.
  • I can hold the apartment for a couple of days for guests to find flights - I then ask for a £50 deposit or 10% for longer bookings, and the balance due eight weeks before guests fly.

    10% discount for bookings of 8 weeks or more
  • Furnishings and layout may vary. Janet cleans and maintains the apartment on my behalf and is easily contactable in case you have any problems while you are there.

Plenty to do - or just relax in the Tenerife sun: There are five golf courses and all within a fifteen minute drive of Playa las Americas. The famous Aqua Park with its famous slides, flumes and dolphin show is only a short distance away. There is scuba diving, deep sea fishing to catch Marlin or Tuna, sailing, boat trips. Plus there is diving, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf, wind-surfing, water skiing, mountaineering, paragliding, roller blading The North of the island is completely different and if you wish some culture visit The House of Balconies and the art exhibitions in the North of the Island. Mount Teide is well worth a visit especially in the winter when you can play in the snow then come back to the South and swim in the sea. The Loro Parque - the world famous parrot park with all its other animals including a special penguin house, shark tunnel, tigers etc The fantastic and much talked about Siam Park is now open and within an easy stroll of Garden City

Relax and enjoy your holiday: There are no extras to pay for electricity or water etc and there is no gas in the apartments. Just in case of any problems Janet - who I have known for years, looks after and maintains the apartments on my behalf. She is easily contactable in case you have any problems while you are on holiday. Luckily this rarely happens - but it is good to know there is someone there - just in case. There is a 24 hour security guard on site so the complex is safe. There is usually a lifeguard at the main pool for most of the day.

Home comforts: Satellite television in each apartment and this receives a range of British programmes including, ITV, BBC etc. Clean linen is provided and the beds made up for your arrival. Linen is changed at the end of the week for bookings of two weeks or more. But please take your own towels. There is a self service launderette on site. There is a book shelf with books to read - if you wish to take one home please replace with another book so the next guests have books to read.

Other Activities: The new Siam Park is within walking distance and boasts being the largest water park in Europe.

Really happy with our stay here. The apartment was very comfortable and extremely well equipt. Unlike many Tenerife holiday apartments this one has an oven and the kitchen has all the utensils you could possibly need. The owner was even good enough to leave t-bags, coffee etc. Single beds in the bedroom were a tad uncomfortable but the owner has put two brand new leather sofas in the living room that turn into comfortable beds easily so we used those. If you're English, you're spoilt for choice with English TV channels as there's 7-8 including a movie channel which is great because it's nice to just to kick back at the apartment some of the time. I highly recommend this apartment. . Getting the keys and getting to know the apartments quirks was a doddle because the owner organises and communicates everything very well. We were left on our own to get on with our holiday but if we needed any help were given a contact to call but there wasn't any cause to.

The location is great. About 10mins walk to Veronikas if you want a lively night but with the apartment being closer to Los Cristianos you're going back to a more peaceful area with a more mature crowd so can get a good nights sleep.
Sometimes the cleaners are a bit noisy early in the morning. Not necessarily because they're shouting but more down to the lay out/design outside the apartment voices can echo quite badly. But when asked politely by a very weary me at 7am in the morning if they could be a tad quieter they seemed happy to oblige.

For fitness enthusiasts: There is a gym across the road (Hedleys Gym)which is part of the same complex with a reasonable daily rate of 3euros. There's also a big pool even closer too with a relaxed and family atmosphere to it.

For shopoholics: There is a big Mango outlet very close by.
Mercadona (really big supermarket) is only 2mins walk so you can have a proper good food shop.


A very big thank you to D for helping to make our Festive Celebrations a holiday to remember. Was one of the best apartments I've stayed at.

Yes, Garden City is a well run complex and ideal for both families and couples. It is close to everything you could want and everyone is very friendly.

There is a choice of 2 sandy beaches within a five minute walk.

We stayed in apartment 618 in Garden City and found everything clean and tidy and suitable for our needs.It is a spacious apartment with a good sized veranda which has the sun from 1030 until 1530 everyday only thing missing was a couple of sun loungers.The apartment is situated in a quiet part of the complex which suited us as we are both in our sixties.On the whole a very enjoyable stay.
Owner's Response: Pleased you had a good time and everything was okay in the apartment. Yes, it does get the sun for most of the day.

I am looking into putting sun loungers on the balcony as another person has made this comment.

Good complex and location

My wife and I usually go on a package and stay in a 3 or 4 star hotel. This was the first time we went self catering and I have to say it has converted us. Firstly, the apartments were much larger than any hotel room. Plus we did not have that nightly queue for the buffet.

We didn't really cook in the apartment and went out nearly every night - but we could eat when and where we liked and it still worked out cheaper than staying half board in a hotel. Even though the Euro has made a difference it is still cheaper to eat and drink out than at home. Also the price of food in the supermarkets seemed a lot cheaper.

It was great that we had a kettle etc in the apartment as we could make a cuppa when we wanted and we did cook one meal in as well. But we ate out every other day and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. We particularly recommend Marios and Marfil restaurants which are in front of the complex. There was also an Indian Restaurant at Puerto Colon which we enjoyed.

Garden City was an ideal complex as it was well run and the staff were all nice and friendly. The beach was only a five or six minute walk away - although the water was a little chilly in December and we mostly used the heated pool at Garden City. There was even a launderette on site - I won't take as many clothes next time.

The apartment was clean and well furnished and had all we needed and it was lovely to sip our wine on our own sunny balcony (again larger than an hotel).

We are now converts to booking direct and will certainly recommend these apartments to all our friends.
Owner's Response: Yes, self catering does work out a lot cheaper than staying in a hotel with inflated prices for food and drink.

There are plenty of reasonably restaurants and bars right outside the Garden City complex. Also if you are really missing some British Food the Winning Post pub on Garden City offers a really good Sunday Lunch - it is also available Sunday evening but you need to pre-book as it very popular. They also offer good food every other day and so does the pool bar.

The large supermarket at San Eugenio shopping centre offers a wide range of food at reasonable prices and is only a couple of minutes walk away. There is a minimarket on site which is convenient but the Shopping Centre will be cheaper.

Apartment accomodation does tend to be larger than a hotel room and unlike hotels offers the self catering opportunity if you wish. As the Spanish don't tend to use kettles I brought a supply from the UK to put in my apartments - as I know most people enjoy their morning cuppa.

Apartments well laid out with lots of shops and restaurants to hand. The heated pool is a real bonus, with lifeguard in attendance and the pool bar has good food and entertainment. Convenient for bus stops and San Eugenio shopping centre.
Owner's Response: Yes, the heated pool is a real bonus. There are two pools plus a children's pool. The second pool is much quieter and is situated to the rear of the complex.
