Parque Santiago 3 Apartment 23rd-30th Jan 2009
Review Submitted: February 2, 2009
Date of Stay: January 2009
Having stayed at Parque Santiago 3 previously as part of a package deal, we decided to book directly with the owner, Jean, for the 2 bed ground floor apartment for my wife, 2 year old daughter and elderly, disabled mother and I.
Jean, the owner, was fantastic right from the initial e-mail correspondence right through to handling the airport transfers and a disabled "buggy" for the week to be delivered and picked up from the apartment.
The property itself was as described in the advert. It was clean when we arrived and all of the facilities as detailed in the advert were available and in good working order. If there was a minor niggle with the apartment it would be that it was by the side entrance gate to the complex which meant that you could hear the security gate slamming shut as people were coming back from a night out. However I must stress that this was the only niggle about the apartment.
Parque Santiago 3 is a great complex with a heated salt water pool a large unheated pool and a childrens supervised "mini water-park" with water slides etc. It has ample sun loungers and a couple of bars by the pool. The attention to cleanliness is fantastic with the poolside being cleaned every morning and it has exit points directly on to the sea front and only a two minute walk to the nearest beach.
It is located pretty much halfway in between the lively resort of Playa De Las Americas and the sleepier town of Los Cristianos and is surrounded by quality shops, restaurants and bars that cater for everyone but they are not close enough to present noise issues.
The resort is split almost in two with a lively part centred around the legendary Veronicas Strip & Starco complex for those wanting to party all night long and the quieter end where the apartment is located which is much more up market but still offers plenty of evening entertainment options.
I have been travelling to Tenerife for each of the last 10 years, without fail, and there is always something new to do from ambling around the Los Cristianos market on a Sunday morning looking at local and international products to Loro Parque Zoo in the north of the island and of course visiting Mount Teide is a must. There is a new Thai themed water park opened in the resort called Siam Park. We didn't get a chance to visit as my daughter is too little to enjoy most of the rides and my mother too old.
All in all I would recommend Jean's apartment in Parque Santiago 3 and hope to go again.
