Rural Villa (Finca) with fantastic panoramic sea views

Our Finca 'Casa Rustica' is located in the green north western region of Tenerife in the village of “El Tanque”, located app 1,600 ft above sea level in the hills above Garachico near Icod de los Vino and far from the mass-tourism resorts of the south and a 35 min drive from Puerto de la Cruz. The panoramic view from the terrace across the Atlantic is breathtaking. The house was first built in 1881, but was recently restored and totally refurbished. From the large terrace you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the Atlantic, looking across small vineyards. Tenerife's newest and most spectacular golf course, the Seve Ballesteros designed Buenavista Golf Club is nearby, a must-play for any golfing enthusiast. There are great walks within a short distance. The area is famous for its superb wines which can be sampled in the local restaurants. Our favourite is 'Monteverde' where you can enjoy some of the best local food available in Tenerife at extra-ordinarily low prices.

El Tanque is located on the main road from Icod de los Vinos to Santiago del Teide, some six miles from Icod at 1,600 feet above sea level, overlooking the Atlantic directly above the picturesque town of Garachico. To the village of La Tierra del Trigo where some of the greatest red wines of the Canaries are made it is only 10 minutes by car. The newly opened Golf Club Buenavista is about a half hour drive away. This course, which was designed by Severiano Ballesteros, is the most spectacular one of the whole Canaries and a must-play for any golf enthusiast. The safe beach of San Marcos is only 20 minutes away by car. Water temperature never dips below 21 degrees.

Golf Information:

To Buenavista Golf Club it is app 30 minutes by car. Buenavista, designed by Severiano Ballesteros, is Tenerife's newest golf courses and its most spectacular. Five of the greens are right on the edge of the Atlantic. The course provides a challenge to any golfer. From the terrace of the modern club house, you overlook the whole course and the Atlantic in the distance. Good quality sets of clubs can be hired. Having just returned home, we are still moved by all the impressions from the island. We had some wonderful days on Tenerife and we very much liked the Finca and its surrounding. The villa is really well fitted out - easy to feel comfortable in. We did many walks and day trips had enjoyed the fantastic weather, often on the south sideof the island.. We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend Casa Rustica to others.

Lovely peaceful and restful break. Excursions to Masca and Mount Teide well worthwhile as well as local walks. Loved all the lizards on the verge-side rocks and the wonderful variety of plants and flowers.
