The apartment was excellent value. The owner of this property took great attention to detail when she provided us with tailor made information sheets regarding the apartment itself, taxis available for airport pick-up, the locality and amenities.
The property was well maintained and cleaned to a high standard prior to our arrival. the departure time was very flexible which was fantsatic as we travelled in a party of 9 including a 6 month old baby.
The area was quiet as we travelled over Easter, but the strength of the £ to Euro could also have had a bearing on that (1:1.09). This was reflected in local pricing which was equivalent to home.
This apartment is in a gated complex, situated on what the locals call the "golden mile", not because it is akin to blackpool (which was a 20 min walk away) but because it represents millionaires row. The local hotels were of a spectacular standard , but this kept the price of local drinks high (Cocktail 7-11 euros).
For a fantastic meal for meat eaters, we would recommend Rodeos resturant, a spit roast carvery where you are served at the table in unlimited quantities until you give in ! 17 euros for adults, but they get you on the drinks.
The concierge at the hotel across the road, was very helpful and also has a beurau de change. There is a taxi rank opposite but they drive like maniacs so if you value your life, hire a car.
The new water park is extremely costly,but has some fantastic rides if you aren't sticking to budget. £120 for a family of 5. The origional Aquapark is far beter value at half the price, but much tamer.
The pool was beautiful, well kept, clean and the chemicals not too strong for chldren's eyes. There were never more than 4 families around it at any one time. The rules say no inflatables, but our children used their's and there were no objections.
The only down side besides local costs, was that the stairs were very narrow and turned, with a high risk of injury. Having said that once we drilled this into the children on day one, no-one actually slipped, with extreme caution.
Owner's Response: I am delighted that Laura and her family had a lovely holiday & very grateful for her positive review. I do provide 2 stairgates for families with children to use if they feel their small children should be kept away from the staircase.
