A super base for a wonderful holiday

We had a very happy and relaxing 2 weeks holiday. The duplex is modern, tastefully decorated, spacious and clean. The views from the terraces are fantastic, we miss having breakfast looking out to the sea or turning round and looking up to the hills. This holiday was just the two of us so we had oceans of room and we spent most of the time outside on the terraces. The pool was never busy, we were always the only ones there when we went for our swim. No-one was using or living in the apartments either side so it was very quiet and peaceful and parking outside was never a problem as there was always plenty of spaces. It was so peaceful, that if two cars went past at the same time, we thought it must be rush hour!
We had hired a car which we used for supermarket shopping and coming back from an evening meal and of course our days out, but we enjoyed the walk down to the del Duque beach during the day and the walk back up the hill wasn't too bad when you knew you could relax on the terrace with a glass of something cold afterwards.
Parking in the evening near the del Duque beach area was easy and we enjoyed the restaurant La Torre del Mirador the food and views were always excellent. The restaurants in the del Duque area are more expensive, but to be expected, but a short walk following the coast path and we found some equally good quality restaurants with reasonable prices, one as we took a short cut through what was one of the many shopping centres with a Burger King at the side and were very surprised to find a really good restaurant with excellent service, just cannot remember what it was called but it was not far from the Guayamina Hotel.
Peter and Salvina were very easy to deal with when making the booking and supplied us with lots of information about the duplex and restaurants to try, Pisces at La Caletta we enjoyed, which is very useful, and although we didn't need to contact Barbara and Dave during out stay it was good to know there was someone we could go to if needed.
All in all we had a fantastic two weeks, the duplex met all our expectations and the weather was 24+ every day, which in February/March was perfect. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a base which was peaceful and releaxing away from the hustle and bustle of Las Americas but near enough to be able to get to.
