Owner's thoughts on Casa Felicidad. :
Everything you'll need for a relaxed home from home stay - from duvets on the bed to a proper teapot for a cup of 'rosy-lea' so you can just totally switch off to work, home, etc.. Watch the sun gloriously rise over the ocean whilst still in your night attire, breathing in the fragrant jasmine and stephanotis around your lounge and bedroom patio doors. Your view is straight down the eighteenth fairway to the sea beyond - like having a huge verdant garden. You can enjoy al fresco breakfast with what must be the greenest, most peaceful view on the whole island.
Or breakfast at a harbour-front cafe with the lap of the water and the honk of 'Harvey the seal.
Unwind with a cocktail, admire the stunning sunset view of desert mountains from your terrace before tucking into a delicious meal at a local restaurant.
Brilliant hibiscus and bourganvilla jjostle the more subtle oleanders, sturdy succulents and palms in the garden.Which is a mere hop and skip away from the swimming pool.
Caleta and the local area:
Caleta de Fuste/ Castillo is a small town boasting a wide range of, activities; minigolf, tennis, beaches, health spa, cafes, shops - excellent for duty free perfume, electrical and leather goods, English speaking doctor and chemist. Saturday market - bargains galore!.
Enjoy a different nationality of restaurant each night - food to suit every taste - either quiet and romantic or with live musical entertainment . Children welcome when eating out in friendly Caleta. Eat under the stars or overlooking the bay. For football fans Sports bars provide live matches!
Delightful marina, freshly caught fish barbequing at quayside cafe. Trips on catamaran - so beautiful it made me cry!
Diving/windsurfing schools. Jetskis for hire - exhilerating!
Casa Felicidad is very peaceful.but conveniently placed to explore. Caleta ieasily accessible in 5 mins by hire car - very reasonable - (ask us for best firms) or a taxi ,plentiful, will only cost £2 each way. Courtesy bus .
Local beaches and walking:
Many quiet beaches with loungers/umbrellas for reasonably priced hire. Lagoons for lazily floating/swimming. Huge sandy crescent beach is fantastic for small children as the bay is very shallow and calm. Ideal novice swimmers/windsurfing./divers
Atlantico Shopping Centre 5 mins by car -well-stocked EuroSpar for groceries, fab shoes, bowling/cinema/pizza/ ice cream /fiestas, fun.
Stride along fabulous cliff top walk (north from the charming marina). Feel 'glad to be alive', refreshed by ozone and rejuvenated from watching the dazzling emerald ocean tipped with a million dancing diamonds. Cheeky chipmunks dart out from the rocks to see if you have any peanuts whilst egrets stand aloof distancing themselves from such wanton forwardness. Alternately, walk South towards Las Salinas and explore the rocky shore where local fishermen cast their lines. Treat yourself to a meal (excellent fresh fish and garlic prawns) or a drink at the only bar by the Salt Museum on the tiny beach.
