Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment, on quiet well maintained complex, with large shared heated swimming pool and small children’s pool. Beautiful view of sea and beach from apartment. Situated on lower part of hill, 5 minutes walk to town centre and 10 minutes to beach. Modern apartment sleeps 5, with well equipped kitchen with microwave, hob, oven, toaster, kettle etc. Extras including DVD player, PlayStation, iron, fans, safe, hairdryer etc. Shop selling groceries, ice creams, papers, fresh bread few mins walk away. Excellent on site bar and Mexican restaurant. A weekly change of towels and bedding is included. We can arrange your airport transfers to and from your accommodation if required, or if you do decide to hire a car there is limited free covered parking.

Puerto Rico , nestles in the sunshine south of the island. It is sheltered from the strong winds, that the other resorts are affected by, it enjoys the best sunshine record on the island. It is a popular all year round resort. Temperatures rarely change, they are usually between 25C and 33C. The magnificent man made beaches, calm sea and traffic free promenade, make it an ideal family resort. There is something for everyone to enjoy here a water park, crazy golf, tax free shopping, a huge selection of bars and restaurants and after dark entertainment combine to provide a relaxing or lively holiday. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes along the sea front. There are two other beaches nearby, Amadores which is a lovely !/2 hour coastal walk away and Amfi. Each have beach side restaurants and shops. Puerto Rico has a thriving marina with regular ferries to other parts of the island, along with glass bottomed boats, a pirate ship, fishing trips, dolphin spotting trips etc.

  • The main bedroom has two single beds, with plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. There is also a vanity unit, stool and mirror, with many plugs for electrical appliances. There is also space for a travel cot if required, which is stored in the wardrobe. (Note If you require use of cot, you must supply your own bedding). There is plenty of light in the room through the large window, with views of Puerto Rico bay. Bedroom 2 - Smaller than main bedroom with two single beds, large chest of drawers and small window and fan. There is a sofa bed in the lounge for the fifth guest, which is very large and comfortable. A cot is available on request.

How to get there.: Fly to Las Palmas airport from all international airports.(LPA) From the UK its a 4 hour flight, then follow signs for SUR (South) on motorway GC1 all the way to Puerto Rico , approx 30 minutes. Taxi fares are normally 55 euros each way, or we can arrange cheaper transfers for our guests from the airport if required. Car hire is available at the airport. Coach transfers are available to book with some airlines, when booking your flight.

Other Activities: Camel Rides. Jeep Safaris. Water park. Pirate ship. Submarine trips. Glass bottomed boats.

We stayed in the apartment in jul 08 and found it to be very clean,spacious and well equipped.The owners were very helpful and spot on with their information,the welcome pack on arrival being a nice touch.There was plenty of loungers in the pool area which had recently been refurbished and is very good with an excellent view over the harbour.Puerto Rico has some lovely beaches and a very pretty park and there is plenty to do on an evening in the commercial centre.
All in all a very nice holiday in a very comfortable apartment which we would recommend to anyone.

Not fab for toddlers

We stayed at the apart last oct 07 was clean and had handy toys etc we have 3 children the youngest was 1yr old. We felt front balcony wall should have been mentioned. It was at least a 20ft drop over a 1ft wall we had to keep the patio door shut and at over 30degrees with only a fan was unbearable!

The Trek down was hard with buggy and stuff steps very annoying.

Overall we had a nice break.
Owner's Response: Puerto Rico is set in a valley and therefore the majority of apartments and hotels are set into the hillside, This obviously means that steps are inevitable. We do state that the resort is not suitable for people with walking difficulties, but our apartment is situated lower down and easily accessable from the town centre and the beach. In response to the 20 ft drop, the apartment is situated on the ground floor and on the hillside.There is a wall and railings around the whole complex this is raised up off all the pathways. We do advise supervision of young children around the complex and the resort due to the fact that Puerto Rico is set into the hills. The apartment is not air conditioned but there are fans in every room.

We Hired a car from the airport to take us to the apartment the directions given to us by Paul & Tracy were easy to understand and we arrived within 30 mins. Clean well kept apartment with ample towels, lovely view over the town/harbour area, nice pool with lots of loungers never ever busy, easily accessible to the beach and to the centre. We had a 22 month child in tow so the box of toys came in handy, also a selection of inflatables for use along with a bucket and spade. The ceiling fan was a definite advantage as it was hot in the main bedroom and got used regularly. Would certainly consider returning to this appt.

I have just returned from a week at this apartment.
Where do i start first of all the apartment was very clean and had everything you need should you wish to be completely self sufficient.
My partner and i are not good walkers but found it not to far to the main shopping centre at Peurto Rico altho it was all downhill a bit of a trek back so as the Taxi s are very cheap we caught the taxi home for approx 2.50 euro s.
i would definitly consider going back to the apartment again in the future .
With regards to the owner i found them very helpful in everyway from the time i made the enquiry to the time i came home i didnt have to do a thing with respect of the apartment it was all taken care of.everything you see on the review is 100% correct

We had a lovely family holiday here. The description of the apartment, location and amenities was exact. The apartment was very clean and pretty. The transfer we booked with the owners was very good too and these people were very friendly and helpful. We loved the beach with its soft sand and blue sea, the harbour with all its trips and the commercial centre which was lively and friendly with lots of shops and places to eat. The park is lovely with kids trampolines with safety ropes. Lots of fun. The mini golf was very good as well. Would definitely recommend and go back ourselves. Thank you for a lovely problem free holiday.
