Casa Lucia is situated on a hillside in Puntagorda, an attractive rural village in the North West. The area is considered by many to be the most beautiful part of the island and is famous for the magnificent almond blossom during January and February. Casa Lucia adjoins our own house on a 2500 square metre plot with avocado, lemon and orange trees. Casa Lucia has its own sunny south west facing private terrace with wonderful panoramic views over the village, the pine clad hills above and the Atlantic Ocean below, where you can enjoy magnificent sunsets most evenings. Casa Lucia is set in an ideal location for the peace and quiet of Spanish country life. It is a perfect place where you can relax in the sunshine and get away from it all. Stroll to the village for fresh bread in the morning, breakfast on one of the sunny terraces with spectacular views, or walk down to the local restaurants for authentic Spanish cuisine or perhaps dine alfresco at home watching the sun set over the ocean

Puntagorda is an ideal place for walking, exploring, photography or just pure relaxation. The village has shops, bars, restaurants and swimming pool all within walking distance from Casa Lucia. Some of the islands’ marked walking routes are also accessible on foot from the apartment. In the area around Puntagorda there is much for the nature lover to see. As well as the many footpaths, there are miradores, two windmills and the nature reserve El Fayal. At Puntagorda Puerto you can walk down the many steps to the sea and enjoy the views along the way. In calm weather you can swim in the sea and the small pool. The highest point of La Palma is the Roque de Los Muchachos, a 40 minute drive away from Casa Lucia and on a clear day can offer spectacular views. One of the few beaches on the island can be found at Puerto de Tazacorte, along with its excellent fish restaurants overlooking the sea and only a 30 minute drive away. The island is a hikers paradise virtually untouched by tourism.

| Notes: | Casa Lucia is a well proportioned apartment built in the traditional Canarian style with a wooden pitched roof. The living space consists of 2 comfortable chairs, coffee table, dresser and dining table and chairs with a well equipped kitchen area with the following equipment: fridge, 4 burner gas hob, microwave, electric kettle, coffee machine, toaster, electric juicer and sufficient crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. There is also a hairdryer and a mini CD/cassette hi-fi system with a selection of classical/easy listening tapes and Cd's. There are a few paperback books, maps and information leaflets provided. Fresh seasonal produce is available from our garden. There is a portable gas heater for the cooler winter months. The municipal swimming pool, a twenty minute walk away from the apartment, is open from the beginning of May until November. Although Casa Lucia adjoins our own house, we respect your privacy and we will not disturb you. We are always ready to help if needed. |

Casa Lucia has its own private terrace with very comfortable hardwood furniture, parasol, two reclining chairs and cushions. Another spacious terrace also with hardwood table, chairs and cushions can be found in the garden. Both terraces offering our guests wonderful panoramic views over the over the village, the pine clad hills above leading to the summit of the island and the Atlantic Ocean below. Although Casa Lucia adjoins our own house, we respect your privacy and we will not disturb you. We are always ready to help if needed.

We have just returned from a wonderful second stay at Casa Lucia, Puntagorda. Our first in 2006 was a real treat and we have once again enjoyed this holiday in a stunning location on the beautiful unspoilt island that is La Palma.
Casa Lucia is a haven- well equipped, spotlessly clean and peaceful. The comfortable beds are a bonus after days spent walking and exploring the interesting locality and enjoying the delights offered by local restaurants. We have enjoyed a number of excellent meals, freshly prepared and served with a welcoming smile.
The south facing terrace at Casa Lucia overlooks the Atlantic and is a great place to catch the sunsets or sit star gazing in the warm evening air.
The English owners are very knowledgeable about the island and without being intrusive, are always willing to offer guidance and share information and give generously items of their own delicious organic home grown seasonal produce.
Restful and restorative, we are certainly looking forward to our next visit to Casa Lucia and have already recommended it to friends and family.
