Located in a quiet residential area of Corralejo, Palm Springs has 16 adjoining bungalows surrounding a large single depth swimming pool. The sunbathing terrace has beds and showers for your comfort. Our corner-site air-conditioned holiday home is sunny and spacious with many added home extra's. The modern fitted kitchen with breakfast bar leads into the light canarian style lounge area. In turn this leads to a private pagoda covered terrace/patio where you can enjoy a glass of wine or breakfast alfresco.

The main town can be accessed by walking along a beach path which will take approx 20 minutes. In the opposite direction the famous sand dunes beach can also be reached within 15 minutes walking time. Both walks are on the flat. The nearest supermarket/restaurant is 4 minutes walk from the apartment. Corralejo town has many wonderful restaurants and bars with live music/street entertainment and traditional shops. A 15 minute ferry ride from the harbour will help you to explore other Islands such as Lanzarote and Los Lobos. However a short drive into the hills around Corralejo will bring you to many small local villages with plenty of character. The 18 hole championship golf course in Calletta is approx 20 minutes drive on a fast straight road.

Notes: Our holiday home has been used by guest with heart conditions and a wheelchair user, however the doors are a standard size. The surrounding area is very flat for walking which makes it suitable for the elderly or infirm. The pool is single depth with no children's play area. The flat screen TV has over 100 channels. There is allocated parking for one car, next to the bungalow. * please note:- naturism is not permitted on the complex.

Our holiday home: Our holiday home has a private entrance with a small garden. We have had air-conditioning installed in each room since November 2005 which makes it wonderfully cool. The bungalow is very light with a high traditional Canarian ceiling in the lounge. The terrace which has a side view of the swimming pool is perfect for drinks or 'dining al fresco' Palm Springs is managed by an English couple who are always on hand if there are any problems. Anthony the maintenance guy is always around the pool area early morning and our housekeeper Nickola can be seen around during the morning. We have a contact telephone number for Nickola on hand in the bungalow if there is an emergency.

Corralejo: The Islands main resort has a large selection of shops, bars (many with live music) and restaurants, and because you can walk to the centre of Corralejo you won't have to worry about drinking and driving. The Aqua Park opened in November 2004, and also a bowling ally. Both fantastic attractions for everyone and takes only 10 minutes walk from the bungalow. There are many water sports on offer on the beach, as well as quad bikes for hire on the sand dunes. If you are active you could hire a bicyle to get around. The championship golf course may appeal to the dads! and a quiet relax in the hot tub after shopping, for mum! If you are feeling adventurous there are many places to visit, take a ferry over to Lanzarote or drive to 'Betancuria' a bright white charming village dating back to the 15th century with its beautiful 'cathedral' is full of ancient charm.

Beaches: 'Parque Natural' or sand dunes is located within a 15 minute walk from our bungalow. This is the start of the 8km stretch of sand dunes, fine golden sand and breathtaking views. If you prefer bars and cafe life the town beach is 15 minutes walk in the opposite direction from our bungalow and there are many smaller beaches on the way. Or drive to El Cottello' which is only 20 minutes this has beautiful lagoons for swimming and soaking up the sun. Fuerteventura is the perfect place to relax and unwind or for those with energy there are many places to explore.

Other Activities: snorkeling, quad biking,ten pin bowling, water park, kite-flying, bird watching.

Lovely clean accommodation. Ideally situated for beach and centre of Corralejo with a wide range of restaurants and activities to choose but also suitable for a peaceful & relaxing holiday. Housekeeping is very good with supply of lovely white fluffy towels! Pool is very clean and for cooling down. Would certainly recommend.

This is a lovely bunglow we stayed there in July 2008. We had a fantastic time. The bungalow is kept really clean with everything you could want. The pool area is quite and ideal for a family holiday. I travelled with two young children and they never tired of the pool. If you get bored there's lots the do around the town we went to the water park a couple of times which is just a 10 min walk away. Would reccommend to anyone looking for a relaxing family holiday.

RELAXING HOLIDAY - ALL YEAR ROUND

We have visited Sue's holiday home three times in the past two years, and found it a very relaxing holiday place. Having the end site, we found it very private sunbathing on the patio. also includes a large table and chairs for eating el fresco. The heated pool is a good size, and the communal areas are nicely planted. The bungalow is spotless, it has big white fluffy towels, plenty of crockery and cutlery, and even tea towels. Sue has made her holiday place a home from home and very well thought out. There is plenty of shelving in the bathroom for your toiletries, there is plenty of hanging space in the wardrobes, plus loads and loads of coat hangers, and a very good quality hair dryer. The kitchen has full size fridge freezer, and Sue even provides a cool bag to take your picnic to the beach !!! We hire a car when visiting the area, you can take a trip through the mountains and visit tiny villages or smaller beaches [most of these don't provide any shade - take your own]. The roads are very well maintained and quiet and it is very easy to drive in Fuerteventura.
I would recommend Sue's holiday home to any couple wanting a relaxing holiday, with great beaches, excellent restaurants, and plenty of sunshine. We have travelled far and wide and in some very nice hotels, but we find it very relaxing in this holiday home - you can come and go as you please, but still eat out every night.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway
