Los Abanicos:
The Villas are semi-circular shaped, hence the name Los Abanicos, which means The Fans. Each twin villa stands in its own beautifully laid out grounds, with lawns, palms and other subtropical bushes and cactii.
Corralejo:
As you can see from the location map, Corralejo is on the northern tip of the Island, and is the most popular area with the British tourists. A ferry runs from Corralejo to Lanzarote should you be interested in a day trip.
The town boasts great shopping, bars and restaurants, and has a wonderful beach and waterfront for those evening strolls. There is always live music in the 'Plaza', and entertainment for the children.
Touring the Island:
Hiring a car is very easy, and a must if you wish to see this mainly barren but yet stunning mountainous island. There are many fishing villages and towns dotted around the coast. The old inland Capital of Betancuria is also well worth a visit. But above all the beaches of Jandia, Cotillo, and Corralejo stand out as the jewels in the crown of all the Canary Islands.
Other Activities:
The Island's first Water Park- 'Baku Village' is only a 5 min. walk.
