The villa:
Stunning sea views over the resort of Caleta de Fuste and the harbour greet you as you step out of your lounge and into your private swimming pool at this two bedroom villa rental.
Imagining pausing to admire the panoramic views over the golf course all the way to the sea before having a quick refreshing dip. And at night, relaxing with a drink, the twinkling lights of the town and harbour below you will fascinate.
The well furnished lounge opens directly on to the patio beside the swimming pool. The lounge has a television with Sky TV. There is a separate dining area and the kitchen is very well equipped and includes an oven, hob, microwave, electric kettle etc and a washing machine. The main bedroom has a double bed with its own en suite shower room. The second bedroom has twin beds. There is also a family bathroom. Upstairs from the patio is a roof terrace for an extra sunbathing area.
The area:
A little less than a 20 minute walk will take you to the Montecastillo centre where there are a variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Entertainment can also be found around this area including on some of the time share complexes where you are welcome to use their bar facilities.
A further ten minutes walk will take you into Caleta de Fuste itself although you can hop on a little tourist train which will take you to the town or right through to the harbour and costs about one Euro. Taxis are also cheap costing about three Euros from the town to the villa or from the main Atlantico shopping centre where there are boutiques, a large supermarket, bars and restaurants and beach all set in landscaped gardens around a lake.
This family resort is ideally placed for exploring this unspoiled island being midway between the northern tip and the south. Taxis are cheap and the town is served by an excellent bus service. Hire a car and you can find deserted coves or little fishing villages
Caleta de Fuste:
Caleta de Fuste is set around a horseshoe bay. There are two golden sandy beaches and the shore slopes gently into the sea making for very safe bathing. Around the harbour area, water sports abound while along the beach, you can find mini golf, tennis, volley ball courts, quad bike and beach buggy hire as well as a sauna and bubble bath centre. You can catch a catamaran out to swim with dolphins or go whale watching. There is a championship golf course, ten pin bowling, multi screen cinema and a large shopping complex with boutiques, restaurants and a large supermarket all on your doorstep.
To the north end of the beach lie little lagoon bays with stone shelters for privacy while at the opposite end past the harbour, the shoreline gives way to rocky coves and an attractive coastal path.
Caleta is an up and coming resort where you will find good restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets - from fish and steak restaurants to Mexican, Portuguese, Chinese, Thai, Greek, and tapas bars
