Sports:
The following sports are available within easy reach of the villa: these are squash, tennis, diving, snorkeling, sailing, horse-back riding, water sports, golf, etc.
Shopping:
There is a small supermarket a short drive from Calvados Heights in Falmouth and others in nearby Falmouth Marina where most items can be found. There is an excellent supermarket near St Johns that is air-conditioned and stocks everything from delicatessen counter to chilled meat from the USA, in house bakery, tinned foods and fresh vegetables. There is also an excellent wine and spirits counter. There is a vegetable, meat and fish market in St John's.
Restaurants and places of interest:
Antigua offers 365 fantastic beaches that are safe with good snorkeling, some with beach bar and restaurant. Some of these are within 10 minutes of the property.The restaurants that abound in the area are renowned for the quality of food and wine and vary in price The English Harbour area offers approximately 20 restaurants and 5 hotels.Antigua has several places of interest. Close by is the historic Nelson's Dockyard and Shirley's Heights. Further afield are Betty's Hope, Fort James. St John's has a museum and interesting Anglican Church. Devil's Bridge and the offshore Great Bird Island are other tourist attractions. There are tours available and a ferry/air service to the sister island of Barbuda.Day tours are available to the neighbouring islands.
Golf:
There are two golf courses on Antigua. One links course and one 18 hole course on the North end of the island.
Visitors are welcome at either course with the usual green fees and buggies available.
