It has the largest casino in the Caribbean and a great variety of restaurants. There are shows as well as spectacular water slides, including one going through a tube surrounded by sharks! 09/19/06 Positive We had a great stay at the Villa! Mrs. Knowles the manager was very helpful. Even though there is a taxi stand around the corner she gave us two names of good drivers (dependable too!).

Visit the Pirate museum where there is a re-enactment of historical battles on the high seas of the Caribbean. Visit Adastra gardens to see the famous marching flamingos. Visit the straw market for local crafts.
Visit nearby Exuma by high speed boat or fo to Harbour Island , for it's pink sandy beach.
Visit the Dolphin encounter close by. See the Cloisters, a monastery setting relocated from France.
Bahamian Culture and Food!:
Junkanoo is celebrated at New Year, but can also be seen at various times throughout the year as a special show. Junkanoo is a colourfull extravaganza of costumes, music and dancing.
Enjoy conch fritters and amazing food throughout the island.
Consider taking a day trip to Harbour Island or Exuma.
Harbour Island has a famous pink sandy beach. The fast boat to Exuma includes snorkelling and having a grouper feast on a beach.
