Plenty to Do - or Not to Do!: Holetown is situated on the ‘platinum’ West Coast, which is bordered by the gorgeous Caribbean Sea and offers an almost unbroken chain of beaches with sugar white sand and clear calm waters for you to just soak up the sun. For the more adventurous, there's all manner of water sports, tennis, championship golf courses or watch the locals playing a cricket match. And in the evening, you're five minutes' walk from a range of over 25 restaurants and bars to suit all budgets. Staying here is the perfect introduction to the Caribbean but, unsurprisingly, many people choose to come back time & time again.

This is an excellent apartment run by owners who place your comfort and enjoyment first. Their attention to detail is fantastic - from details of places to visit to their own advice on which restaurants to try, which car hire company to use, and so on. If problems had arisen we were given all the details on how to resolve them.

The apartment is in the perfect position - high enough to catch a cool breeze and get a view of a sunset over the sea, and with 'neighbours' on only one side, and none above, it is quiet and not overlooked.

The apartment furnishings and decore are bright and modern, and everything works. A lot of thought has been put into making it a comfortable and stylish place to stay.

The beach is less than 10 minutes' walk away, is not crowded, and the occasional steet or beach seller you will encounter is friendly and happy to chat if you'll let them.

We had a fantastic time at the apartment and would love to repeat the experience some day.

Great time in sunny Barbados

From start to finish me and my wife had a fabulous time in Barbados. The owners of this property supplied a great deal of useful local information which helped us make a more informed decision on where to go and eat.

The apartment was spacious and immaculately kept with a lovely balcony view. The block had a big and quiet swimming pool for those days when the beach was a little too hot. The beach itself was a short walk away, which golden sands and a perfect sea to your left and right.

We'd highly recommend The Tides restaurant for fine dining, Surfside for quick local food and the local bar staff. We should also mention the Holetown piano bar for the so bad its good singing. Most mornings we went to Cafe De Vine in the Chattel Village for their fab breakfast smoothie.

The Holetown beach is good, but if you venture slightly further up the main road (car or bus) you should visit Payne's Bay and spend a few dollars to swim with the Turtles and dive down to the shipwreck. Although we would not recommend Daphne's restaurant, which was over-priced and not particularly good.

Oistins Friday Fish market is a must, although it is some way from the apartment. Quite near to Oistins is St Laurence's Gap which was okay, but caters for a slightly younger noisier crowd.

Overall we wished we had a little longer in Barbados to do more local site seeing.

Lovely apartment, great views

I have just booked for our 3rd stay at this lovely apartment. It really is a home from home, very well equipped and tastefully furnished. What I love about this particular apartment is the superb location on the top floor at the end of the building - very quiet and with the best views to the sea. The pool here is glorious, it is very large and the water is always warm and clean, the surrounding gardens provide plenty of shade for those who prefer this. Lots of new sun loungers. The onsite laundrette is spotless and very useful. All the restaurants, bars, shops, supermarket and beaches of Holetown are within a short walk away. For some exercise, there is a great walk starting just up the road across the old nine golf course (part of sandy lane) So much to do and see in Barbados, it is our favourite destination.

We stayed at 401 in March 2009.This is possibly the best positioned apartment at Golden View, positioned,on the end on the top floor with views of the Carribean sea.There is an extremly well equipped kitchen and eating out on the large balcony is a joy.There is a small en suite bathroom with large walk in shower.The bedroom is large with a walk in wardrobe, 6ft bed and air con.The apartment has a tv with good choice of channels,dvd player with plenty of dvd's and music system.The swimming pool is excellent with plenty of sun loungers.The on site chinese restaurant might seem to be in a strange location but is excellent.A car would be handy but not necessary.A ten minuite walk through the park brings you to Holetown with shops and supermarket and the buses which for 50p you can get all over the island.A real home from home.
