A Great Place to Stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The apartment location, layout and facilities exceeded the description.
It was truly delightful in every respect.

Breakfast on our balcony apartment, watching Hummingbirds in the
Hibiscus tree, with Palm trees gently swaying in the breeze and a
beautiful Caribbean sea view was a wonderful way to start the day.

The apartment, the concierge service, the grounds, the poolside
restaurant were an unbeatable combination.

We were given an extensive pre- vacation package making it possible to
move instantly into the world of Barbados.
A comprehensive range of references, including beaches,
restaurants,supermarkets, shopping malls, historical and cultural
attractions and car hire, including Bajan driving etiquette were very
useful.

We particularly enjoyed the peace, tranquillity and beauty of St Albans
beach, and the vibrance of the Surfside bar at Holetown beach. The
Fisherman's pub at Speightown is unmissable; the setting, perched on the
edge of the sea; the delicious, incredibly reasonably priced food was a
winning combination.
An essential visit to an oasis of calm, tranquillity and history in the
centre of the island must be to see St Nicholas Abbey.

Barbados is a wonderful place for a totally relaxing holiday.
And if your are looking for a great apartment to stay in; This is it!

Relaxing home from home

We have stayed at this apartment before, and will definitely do so again. We love the West Coast & Goldenview is our first choice for a relaxing & independent holiday there. The owners have provided those important touches to make it feel like your own place, and all we have to do is turn up and de-stress completely! We like to be independent and unhurried, and not overwhelmed poolside by too many noisy tourists! At Goldenview we often had the lovely clean pool all to ourselves which was fabulous, because these are mainly residential apartments, the people are very respectful of others and at night the apartments are lovely and quiet, especially 401 which we think has the best location in the block with its sea view in the distance and waving palm tree tops in front of the balcony.Everywhere in Holetown is withing easy walking distance , you really dont need a car if you prefer to walk to the beach or jump on a local bus to explore the rest of the West Coast and its beautiful beaches. We thoroughly recommend this apartment to the independent traveller who values peace & relaxation and having the choice to self cater aswell as opt to stroll into Holetown to sample the many characterful restaurants & bars.

Another great stay

We relaxed as soon as we arrived as it is such a home from home, enjoyed watching the sunsets from the balcony with a glass of rum punch each evening. The gardens are so lovely and full of flowers and birds, we even saw monkeys some mornings. The pool is immaculate, large and warm and has plenty of loungers in sun or shade. Although we ate out most nights we used the well equipped kitchen to prepare breakfasts and all important cocktails. The views and decor of this condo make it a very special place for a holiday. We will be back!

Attention to detail

This is an excellent apartment run by owners who place your comfort and enjoyment first. Their attention to detail is fantastic - from details of places to visit to their own advice on which restaurants to try, which car hire company to use, and so on. If problems had arisen we were given all the details on how to resolve them.

The apartment is in the perfect position - high enough to catch a cool breeze and get a view of a sunset over the sea, and with 'neighbours' on only one side, and none above, it is quiet and not overlooked.

The apartment furnishings and decore are bright and modern, and everything works. A lot of thought has been put into making it a comfortable and stylish place to stay.

The beach is less than 10 minutes' walk away, is not crowded, and the occasional steet or beach seller you will encounter is friendly and happy to chat if you'll let them.

We had a fantastic time at the apartment and would love to repeat the experience some day.

Great time in sunny Barbados

From start to finish me and my wife had a fabulous time in Barbados. The owners of this property supplied a great deal of useful local information which helped us make a more informed decision on where to go and eat.

The apartment was spacious and immaculately kept with a lovely balcony view. The block had a big and quiet swimming pool for those days when the beach was a little too hot. The beach itself was a short walk away, which golden sands and a perfect sea to your left and right.

We'd highly recommend The Tides restaurant for fine dining, Surfside for quick local food and the local bar staff. We should also mention the Holetown piano bar for the so bad its good singing. Most mornings we went to Cafe De Vine in the Chattel Village for their fab breakfast smoothie.

The Holetown beach is good, but if you venture slightly further up the main road (car or bus) you should visit Payne's Bay and spend a few dollars to swim with the Turtles and dive down to the shipwreck. Although we would not recommend Daphne's restaurant, which was over-priced and not particularly good.

Oistins Friday Fish market is a must, although it is some way from the apartment. Quite near to Oistins is St Laurence's Gap which was okay, but caters for a slightly younger noisier crowd.

Overall we wished we had a little longer in Barbados to do more local site seeing.
