Elegantly comfortable 2 Bed, 2 balcony condo overlooking sea

We stayed at Hastings Towers condo for four weeks with our son joining us for eleven days and our niece joined us for ten days.
All had a great time there was plenty of room for four adults wih adequate facilities, close to great beaches and shops, Supermarkets ect. Found Blakies restaurant and bar just across the road good entertainment and food. James met us and helped us up the stairs with the cases as the lift was out of order when we arrived and familarized us to the condo, Beverly was also very friendly and helpful. If you have problems with the internet try the Santa Nita smoothie bar next door for a free conection, have a cake and smoothie at the same time.

Myself, Brother and both my parents went to barbados to visit family and friends. Having a bajan father and having visited barbados many times before. I have to say this is the best placed we' have stayed in.

The apartment itself was clean and spacious and is in a great location. Overlooking the beach and a stroll away from the popular Accra beach. Close to the local shops, ATM and resturants and a bus ride away from Town.

The owner, James provided us with all the information we needed and was always just a phone call and the cleaner Beverley is as equally as helpful and friendly.

The only downside was the lift was out of order for most off our trip meaning my to 65+ parents had to climb 3 flights of stairs after a long day out but than again being on the 3rd floor provided us with a wonderful evening sea breeze and my parents did'nt complain.

We will defiantly be coming back.

On arrival we were met by James who made us very welcome. The apartment has a spacious lounge/dining room with a separate kitchen. It is all nicely decorated, clean and well-maintained. The welcome pack was much appreciated. There are two good sized bedrooms, one with en-suite (and a separate bathroom) and a good sized wardrobe in each. Each bedroom has a/c and ceiling fans. There are two balconies. The view from the front balcony is wonderful. We spent a lot of time taking in the view and watching the world pass us by. We saw some wonderful sunsets. If you keep both doors open you get a lovely breeze.

There is a boardwalk a couple of minutes from the apartment (which you can be seen from the balcony), which I walked every day. There are seating areas for you to rest and take in the views.

A bank and ATM is a minute's walk away and a mini mart a little further.

For anyone who enjoys walking there is a lovely walk round the race course, which takes about an hour there and back. It takes in the historical Garrison district, George Washington House and the Museum. Bridgetown is about 10 minutes by bus or you can walk it in less than an hour.

There are many excellent places to eat. TGI's is about a 5 minute walk. The food is always good, the staff very friendly and it has a/c - but it's not cheap. Bubba's Sports Bar is about a 15 minute walk - excellent for all sports events. Chilly Moo's is not to be missed if you enjoy ice cream. BBQ Grill (part of Chefette) does some excellent steaks. Oistins Fish Market is well worth a visit on a Friday night for local fish and lots of open air stalls. It is very popular so get there early. It's a 20 minute bus ride depending on traffic. Most eating places are excellent - don't be afraid to try the local places.

Local bus services are excellent. Get on a bus, put 2 dollars in the box, get your ticket and you can travel either one stop or as far as the bus goes. Make sure you have the correct fare - no change is given. If you want the experience of a lifetime try the local ‘Z’ buses (also 2 dollars).
