'Ocean Blues' has the flexibility to offer 4-bedrooms (main house plus 2 studios) sleeping 8; 3-bedrooms (main house plus upstairs studio) sleeping 6; 2-bedrooms (main house) sleeping 4; 1-bedroom (choice of 2 self contained studios) each sleeping 2; all with individual terraces and sunlounger. Maid service. Roof garden. Romantic pool. All rooms overlook the Caribbean Sea. Breathtaking sea views and sunsets from each balcony and the shared sun deck which provides 6 sun loungers. Spiral stairway cut in rock leads to small private cove 16' below. You can fish direct from the ocean sun deck into the Caribbean. Bathing in the sea is sheer paradise. The sea-bed is mainly sandy and its scattered rocks are generally smooth. All forms of water sports are available nearby.

Kitchenette with fully fitted pine units, newly installed 4 burner gas hob/microwave and fridge/freezer. En suite fully tiled shower room with vanity and WC. King size bed (6'6' x 6'6'), fitted wardrobes, cupboards, fan and air conditioning, telephone, safe. Situated adjacent to pool and above sea terrace.

Ocean Blues is 30 metres passed the Batts Rock Beach Road and directly opposite Crusher Road.

Location: Located at St James on the fashionable West Coast, set in dazzling bougainvillea & hibiscus, flanked by palm and casuarians, 'Ocean Blues' is a truly wonderful private house. Whilst allowing security, privacy and peace of mind it is conveniently situated on the main highway, approx. 3 miles north of the capital, Bridgetown, and out of sight of the nearby main hotels, restaurants and shops.Ocean Blues is a taxi ride away from the airport and local buses and taxis are readily available. Water sports are available nearby. At night, floodlight illuminates the terraces, garden and pool. You can see magnificent sunsets reflected in the wonderful Caribbean Sea. Terraces/garden offer privacy for sunbathing. The property is unsuitable for young and unsupervised children.

Property Information: OCEAN BLUES in the beautiful and friendly island of Barbados belongs to John and Janice Garrod. It is a fascinating 'sea house' on several levels, well maintained and set uniquely in the sloping rocks of the fashionable West Coast. 'Ocean Blues' is ideal for a party of 8 people; or two wings of the house can be sealed off to provide a 2 bedroom house for 4 people (1 king size bed and one queen size) and two 1-bedroom (double bed) studio apartments each with their own access, shower room, kitchenette and private terraces facing the ocean. Daily maid service is included (Monday to Friday) and although catering does not form part of the package, arrangements can be made for guests occupying the full property. Among the fascinating features of the house is a spiral stone staircase that leads directly from a medieval style turret, to a tiny private cove below the villa. Also a charming roof terrace providing stunning views accessible from the balcony of the master bedroom/guest room.

Terms: A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking and the remaining balance, six weeks prior to date of arrival.

Oct.05 We have had 10 wonderful days at Ocean Blues - everything has been fantastic - snorkelling with the fishes, watching the birds and sunsets, exploring the island, - sheer heaven. Marci has looked after us very well. We've loved every minute and are very sad to go. However, we'll be back very soon and for longer next time. Annette and Geoff Hardaker

We stayed at this property in 2005, in the studio, and it is the property we consider others by when we travel.

The studio itself had a comfortable bed, a kitchen a bit on the small side (but reasonably well equipped for all that), and a perfectly serviceable bathroom. The outside deck (accessed through French doors) was unbeatable - generously sized, table there, and a retractable awning.

We also had access down a few steps to a larger deck that was available to the whole house (which could be up to three apartments). From that deck, you stepped onto a spiral staircase that came out to the beach below. Utterly unbeatable location.

I found the owners to be helpful and professional, and would cheerfully deal with them again.

The only things that prevent this from being a 5 star, to us, was the lack of a really comfortable reading chair in the studio, which may matter more to us that it would to others.
