Enjoy Altamar in Barbados all year round

Our villa can be enjoyed in Barbados all of the year with perfect daytime and evening temperatures. it tends to be less breezy, with calmer sea in the summer months (June to September), making swimming at the small beach a perfect way to keep cool and enjoy some exercise. The summer can be an exciting time in Barbados with the famous 'Cropover Festival', taking place in July and August.

Cricket in Barbados

If you are a cricket fan, there's nothing better than watching the sport in Barbados. The villa offers access to many of the local grounds (for example, the Windward cricket club is only a few minutes drive away). Cricket is played virtually all year round in Barbados, but the main season runs from may to December. Good quality regional inter-island games can be seen at the modernized Kensington Oval in Bridgetown (about a 40 minute drive from Altamar), as well as at a number of the local grounds. These are excellent opportunities to watch some cricket, drink a Banks beer and rub shoulders with many of the past and present stars of Barbados and West Indies cricket. Whatever the game, rest assured that you will be welcomed at any ground that you come across where a game is taking place!
