Our beautiful ocean beach is crescent shaped, stretches 3/4 of a mile and is lined with tropical trees offering you sun or shade. The surf is gentle, no rip tides or undertows to worry about. Cool ocean breezes provide year round comfort. Our neighborhood is home to Ocean World Adventure Park where you can swim the dolphins, and Ocean World Casino & Marina. Costamber, our neighboring community has a 9-hole golf course. | Notes: | Your housekeeper, Nelsida, will cook & serve your meals, snacks & drinks and then whisk away the dirty dishes. She will keep the villa tidy & tend to your laundry. All you do is RELAX. With 6 or more guests, we provide a 2nd full time maid to ensure everyone receives adequate attention. We want our guests to enjoy a truly carefree vacation. Julio, our houseman, keeps our gardens, pool, terraces and home in pristine condition. He owns a large Toyota Van that he uses to provide airport meeting service for our guests. He can also be hired to run errands. An in-wall safe and on-site security provides added peace of mind. This home was built for large family gatherings and has room for everyone to spread out. It has the usual family 'stuff' like DVDs and VHS tapes, games & puzzles, books & pool toys. There is also furniture for little ones; 2 cribs, 2 highchairs, changing table, booster seat, guard rail, life jackets and a special gate to secure the dining porch from the pool area. |

Villa Vista Del Mar is a comfortable family oriented home. The living room has a large TV with DVD/VCR and a selection of videotapes plus a stereo system with CDs. The two master bedroom suites have their own TVs and rockers for comfortable viewing or reading. Guests enjoy a selection of games, cards, and picture puzzles. The large dormitory with two bunk beds and two twin beds is so attractively furnished that even adults enjoy using it.. The villa comfortably sleeps 15 and orthopedic mattresses assure a good night's rest. The kitchen is completely modern and fully equipped with two refrigerators, microwave, automatic coffee makers, toaster, blender and household equipment. Not to mention a very attentive maid! The outdoor terraces, balconies and pool are provide room for everyone to spread out and have fun.
If you can tear yourself away from the private swimming pool and attentive maid service, you can walk down our dirt road to our beautiful ocean beach... or talk to our tour director about the numerous activities and adventures. You can go on a horseback ride into the mountains, a jeep safari to amazing waterfalls, a catamaran snorkeling trip along the ocean, try white water rafting, ride a cable car up the mountain, take the kids to a go cart park, and much more. There is a Robert Trent Jones golf course and 3 gambling casinos about 6 miles away. Further away, at Playa Grande (about 40 miles) is a fabulous golf course considered the best in the Caribbean. The scenery and views are unbelievable. Our charming seaside community is now home to Ocean World, the Caribbean's largest and newest marine aquatic park where you swim with dolphins and enjoy a wide variety of interactive and underwater activities., as well as a casino, marina , restaurant, lounge and entertainmnet center.
Puerto Plata is a wonderful destination for any size group because there is so much to see and do, and everything is so Inexpensive. Wonderful meals at local restaurants start at $10-15 per entree.The Dominican version of 'Cheers' is just down the street at an oceanfront thatched-roof restaurant called Chris & Madys. Babysitters for children cost about $30 for a full day. You'll find the Dominicans are well-deserving of their reputation for friendliness and hospitality; they go out of their way to make you feel welcome in their country. It doesn't matter if you don't speak Spanish. Guests have always managed and enjoyed the experience of being exposed to the culture of this beautiful country and its people. So if you have an adventurous heart and truly enjoy being a part of the country you're visiting, come to Villa Vista del Mar at Playa Cofresi. Just be prepared to relax and enjoy, as you fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and wake up with the songbirds.
Other Activities Visit 'Ocean World' and swim with dolphins. Just a 10 minute walk from our home. TONS of other activities & tours available through our tour director.
Golf Information:
There is a Robert Trent Jones 18 hole golf course at the Playa Dorado resort complex just 8 miles from our villa. Green fees are only US $28 and a caddy fees about $12. Golf carts are $24. Golf equipment in good condition can be rented at the Club House at equally modest prices. The New World class Playa Grande 18-hole golf course that rivals the teeth of the dog hole golf course at Caso de Campo is only 40 miles away. There are other golf courses nearby but these are our favourites.
